New Ma's Garden — Restaurant in Lebbeke

A pity that Google deleted this place as it still exists. (New) Ma's Garden was only temporarily closed until they found a new cook. Otherwise everything stayed the same from the owner, the furniture, the decoration, and up to the tasty food.

The menu offers many dishes and the portions are plenty. At our last visit we were satiated and satisfied with only one drink and one main course each.

The one thing I'm missing from the service is that not every table has its set of pepper, salt, hot paste, soy sauce. One shouldn't need to "steal" it from another table.

The atmosphere definitely is Chinese. The furniture, the decoration, the music, the people running the place all take part in it.

The prices have gone up noticeably as almost any other place but the good tasting food is still the same. With 20-40€ per person you'll leave this place with a stuffed belly, especially if you select one of the "Rijsttafel" which are multiple-course menus at a discounted price.

There's plenty of parking at the streets, especially at the train station which is not even a single minute walk away.

Unfortunately, the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible as the entrance begins with a step and is followed by a short and narrow corridor with a tight turn.

We hebben besteld voor twee personen. Hierbij staat er bij de hoofdgerechten dat alles inbegrepen is met rijst of frietjes. Mijn vriendin vraagt een portie gebakken rijst extra. We komen thuis met onze bestelling van 70 euro en wat zien we? Enkel gebakken rijst. Dit is al de tweede keer dat we zelf rijst mogen beginnen koken als we thuiskomen van dit restaurant. Er zit toch rijst inbegrepen bij de gerechten???dit staat zo op de menu aangegeven. Wat moeten we hiermee aanvangen elke keer? Saus met vlees zonder rijst? Kotsmoe ben ik het!!

Replying in English since the owner replies in Chinese. The owner replied asking who I am or why I wrote this review. Obviously I already shared all the info. We didn’t get rice with our order. So we had to cook it ourselves at home. The portion nasi we paid extra for was not enough for two grown people. When ordering a main menu item white rice is included. We got no white rice for none of our main courses. We ordered yesterday and picked it up in the restaurant. I don’t know what more explanation I need to give. These are not lies.
