Il Giardino — Restaurant in Nieuwpoort

We went as a family of five. We waited half an hour for somebody to get our order. When finally somebody came we had to order everything at once. We then waited twenty minutes for our drinks an another twenty-five for our food, so all in all we had to wait for 45minutes to get some Pasta and Pizza. We already saw that some peolpe simply left without ordering something or without even paying after eating. First two of us got the Pasta but the rest had to wait another five minutes for the Pizza(sorry but you can't serve half a table and then vanish so half the table is finished or has cold food when the rest receives theirs). Finally everybody had their food but we didn't have cuttleries. We ourselves went inside to get some. Inside the next big shock. The restaurant looked like something had exploded inside. The dishes were standing everywhere, dirty and you could see into a disorganized kitchen. All in all it was very dirty inside. We booked a table for our group (14 people) in advance. We also asked for 2 high chairs. In the end they reserved 2 tables which were seperated, and no high chairs because the only 2 they had were in use.

The service was just non-existent, no help whatsoever to set the tables together or help regarding the problem with the high chairs.

We waited 1,5hrs for our food. The food was average, pizza's were not good, fingerfood was good. Oh and bring your own fork and knife for the pizza because you'll only get a pizza slicer.

Last tip: be aware of what comes and leaves the table; they took away a bottle of water that was half full and they forgot to bring one we...

Horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE ! Please avoid at all cost.

We waited 90 minutes for our pizzas and a deep frozen pizza would have done the job just as well. Completely overprized. Only 1 of 5 waiters that came to our table was actually friendly. The rest barely said hi and looked at us. Drinks were not good and way too expensive. Aperol was mixed with what tasted like still water. Caipirinha was sugar syrup and rum but mixed poorly.

Paid 80€ for 2 deep frozen pizzas and bad drinks. Really not worth it.

A shame to end a nice day in a bad restaurant...
