Aroti of India — Restaurant in Nivelles

I ordered takeout from this restaurant a lot.

The moment I opened the box, the smell of spices singes my nose as I took a sip of the curry.

The Lord knows no heat like the Vindaloo of this restaurant. The bits of lime in the curry helped not my tongue but gave me a taste of freshness that soon faded within the heat. I look into the dark Belgian skies and wail. Wail at the gods to have cursed me with such a weak tongue.

The devil snickers at me as I stuff the food into my pained maw, saliva dribbling down my mouth as I weep. I hoped for my heritage to save me, for my ancestors who have eaten chilies more spicy than I could imagine to help me overcome the spice!

But alas, my cries went...

Ordered through take away, honestly I had serious doubts when I read the comments. My recent Indian food nostalgia urged me to take a chance. I ordered for over 75 euros of food only to be utterly disappointed. The worst:chicken tandoori which was smelling fishy, being pregnant didn't want to take the risk tossed it in the rubbish, it didn't smell fresh at all. Tried to eat the rest of the order but honestly it was not fresh food. A total waste of 75 euros. A lesson learnt, if craving Indian food, take a train and go to...

TRÈS DÉÇU. Les plats sont très bons MAIS ils incitent fortement à la consommation et les propos de la serveuse ne sont pas cohérents avec ceux du gérant, c’est inadmissible et proche de l’arnaque !!! Je suis allée manger dans ce restaurant avec des amis. Nous avons pris des pains naan en plus de nos plats et la serveuse nous a dit que nos plats seraient servis avec un petit peu de riz, COMPRIS dans les prix des plats donc, et que si nous en voulions plus il faudrait le payer. Nous avons mangé, tout s’est bien passé mais nous étions un peu justes au niveau du riz (2 bols pour 5 pers), cependant nous ne désirions pas payer de supplément donc nous n’en avons pas commandé en plus. À la fin du repas, nous avons payé et sommes partis. OH QUELLE SURPRISE de constater que nous avions en fait été facturés de 8€ pour le riz, qui soi-disant était COMPRIS DANS les plats!!! Nous y sommes retournés et avons fait une réclamation mais la serveuse n’était plus là et le patron a refusé de rembourser le riz, soi-disant parce qu’ils n’en servent jamais gratuitement avec les plats. C’est SCANDALEUX! vous ne pouvez pas inciter indirectement vos clients à consommer plus pour les faire payer des plats supplémentaires en disant que c’est gratuit. En plus cela voudrait dire que lorsque l’on commande un curry chez vous on est censés le manger sans pain ni riz? Pour 18€? C’est n’importe quoi. C’est vraiment dommage, vous venez de perdre 5 potentiels clients réguliers car nous avions tous beaucoup apprécié nos plats, mais pour vos mensonges nous ne...
