DON GIGI — Restaurant in Schaerbeek - Schaarbeek

Went here on a Friday evening. The owner is very friendly and sociable. We asked for the suggestions and he named quite a few. Eventually we decided to all take the tortellini with a pomodoro mascarpone-like sauce. The dish was very tasty and I'm pretty sure the pasta is home-made. For desserts we all took the tiramisu, which was very tasty as well.

Conclusion at the end: we had a very nice meal and dessert for a very cheap price. I was kind of amazed that there weren't that many people in the restaurant...

Overall, the experience was really good.

We had “pasta con le vongole” and a steak: both very well cooked and generous portions.

Service was fast enough and attentive to collect our order easy and quick.

Atmosphere is the gem of the place: it feels really authentic and you can feel that there are people going there since many years (they have been open since 1990!).

Very recommended, you’ll not be disappointed by both...

We were a group of four for dinner. Friendly chef came out to chat and take our order. Two of us had carbonara, one pasta fungi, and cappolini with meat sauce and sausage. The carbonara was very salty and seemed to have fatty lard versus ham or bacon. The cappolini had virtually no meat sauce and the sausage tasted strange. The one dish that was very good was the fungi....
