Royal India — Restaurant in Sint-Truiden

Many Indian restaurants outside India are meant only for foreign people, who have in their whole life only tested food from these so called Indian restaurants… These restaurants have some funny looking old style Indian setup and food is just so so… this is one such restaurant…

ordered their paneer naan which had cheese stuffed.. Chicken Biryani was the worst… masala was not Cooked at all and no one in their senses will call that a Biryani.. maybe masala chicken fried rice is better suited name for that dish… Butter Chicken was ok… not like we are used to Chicken starters look cheap in the menu but you will get only two pieces of that so order accordingly 🤨

Overall… not satisfied with the food and the verbal acceptance to the feedback given after eating… look for the other option nearby if you are looking for good Indian food…

First of all, this attitude of yours is not good. If someone is giving feedback then you should be ready to take it and better your food (unless you think you are a Micheline Star Level Restaurant)... I came to your restaurant on 29th April evening. I gave verbal feedback about your Chicken Biryani and it was not taken very well. The person told "This is our style Chicken Biryani"... Whatever your style of cooking is, the masala should be cooked properly and you should not serve some kind of 'chicken masala fried rice' in the name of Biryani... The Paneer naan had processed Cheese stuffed inside.. What kind of cook doesn't know the difference between Indian Paneer and Processed Cheese?? I have pictures from your restaurant but my kids are in the pictures so I am not posting...

Juist online via take away besteld voor de eerste keer en sowieso ook laatste keer. Toen ik de zak al open deed, was men eerste reactie al : hoe triestig is dit. Had voor mij en en vrouw voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht besteld. Voorgerecht lagen 2 stukjes vlees in, 1 komkommertje en 1klein tomaat stukje met een heeeel klein beetje sla. Je zag het amper liggen. Hoofdgerecht was vlees en scampi dat op een hele grote hoeveelheid ajuin lag. Met een vakje rijst. Sorry maar dit was veeeeeel te weinig, echt triestige hoeveelheid. En hier toch een 63 euro voor betaald.

Echt allesbehalve de moeite. Rijst was ook zeer droog, vond er niks aan. Vlees was wel goed van smaak, daarmee 1 ster. Maar echt...

By take-away be prepared to pay "white face tax". First and last time. Just to add: on the bill item counted twice and you get 1 box.

Rice, 1 portion per dish I understand. 2 dishes and one portion rice...
