Boulangerie Patisserie Callier — Restaurant in Uccle - Ukkel

Imagine your average bakery ticket? Below €5 is very common, right? Imagine now COVID times... Paying with cash almost completely disappeared. Now, try to imagine a place where you are just refused to pay by card below €5? I mean : REFUSED, not just having to pay an additional charge (which I have asked).

Unbelievable right? Well, I have found that place, it is called Callier Boulangerie.

When asked about the why? Nobody could reply with a reasonable answer. Even the OWNER himself, he replied "JUSTE PARCE QUE" and walked away... LEADING BY EXAMPLE...

WOW what about this, in times that we keep on talking on and on about customer...

Nous avons testé cette pâtisserie pour la première fois un samedi matin. Très encourageant: il y avait une grande fille à l’extérieur! Nous nous sommes dit que c’était bon présage concernant la qualité! Et agréable surprise: la file avançait vite… Ce qui signifiait, selon nous, qu’une bonne quantité de personnel s’agitait à l’intérieur! Et en effet, le service était fluide et les clients étaient rapidement servis! Petit bémol quant à la disposition des produits: tout est en longueur allant de l’entrée au fond du local et nous sommes servis au pas de la porte d’entrée… Ne connaissant pas les produits, ils nous était difficile de savoir ce que nous commanderions sans avoir accès à tout l’étalage avec les clients devant nous… Mais la vendeuse, très patiente, souriante et chaleureuse nous a laissé le temps de découvrir tous les produits sans nous presser! Les viennoiseries étaient très bonnes (coup de coeur de mon compagnon pour le pain au chocolat) et la tartelette au citron...

The eclair au café, Saint Honoré, the brioche and the Marble cake are so delicious it’s criminal. Perks are the staff are very friendly and welcoming and don’t judge when you are clearly buying more than you need. Which will happen every time you step foot inside....
