Ô's Arcades — Restaurant in Vielsalm

Very disappointing experience. The restaurant was full, but with only a few tables in total, so it wasn’t an overly busy environment. Still, both the food and the service were poor.

The chicken was completely dry, and the fries were served in a soggy container, without any care for presentation. The main dish sat on the plate all alone, looking careless and uninviting. For the prices charged, I expected much better quality.

On top of that, the service was disrespectful. The waiter was alone, but that doesn’t excuse his attitude. My friend simply took a bit longer to order because the menu was only in French, and instead of being patient or helpful, the waiter acted dismissive and rude. This made the whole experience even worse.

Overall, the combination of poorly prepared food and disrespectful service left us with a very bad impression. Definitely not a place I...

Went to the restaurant based on other reviews. Warm reception by the owner, who is also the waiter and I believe chef. Service was good, with some humorous interactions. Food was very tasty, with local products and recipes, if not the very fancy dishes. Music was nice, (pop). Mood was set by the service and music, the decoration being mostly old records, cooking utensils, and some crucifixes.

Ik hou me echt NOOIT bezig met slechte recensies schrijven maar dit vond ik er zo over dat ik het niet laat passeren. Bij binnenkomst verliep alles zeer vriendelijk (er was toen slechts 1 klant aanwezig) en de eigenaar legde alles uit ivm de kaart. Ondertussen kwam nog een koppel binnen en daarna nog een koppel die een tafel gereserveerd had. De eerste klant was al bediend dus je zou veronderstellen dat de eigenaar zou vragen wat wij willen drinken. Tot onze verbazing vroeg hij dit wel al aan de tafel die NA ons binnenkwam en ook aan het koppel die nog eens daarna binnenkwam. Hij negeerde ons compleet en vermeed ook bewust oogcontact. We hebben veel geduld maar dit was gewoon onbeschoft. De tafel naast ons (die dus later binnengekomen waren) hadden hun apero al op en bij ons nog altijd NIETS gevraagd!! Ondertussen ook de 3de tafel een cocktail voor hun neus en bij ons oogcontact vermijden. Als je je service wilt spreiden, doe dat dan aub in de juist volgorde! Na een halfuurtje DROOG te hebben gezeten, zijn we gewoon opgestapt! De eigenaar voelt zich almachtig omdat hij goed kan koken, wat ik ook wel geloof. Alleen zal ik het nooit gaan proeven. Er is nog altijd zo iets als elementaire beleefdheid!! Toen we opstapten, had hij nog het lef van te zeggen, wie het hier niet prettig vindt, moet hier niet blijven. Wat een klucht!!
