4 of us visited for lunch. We took a 3 course lunch menu. The nibbles were delicious so was the starter (seared scallops). The main course (guinea fowl) was tasty but nothing special. The dessert was average (beetroot /chocolate with pear). The venue which we visited few times before was very noisy (the tables are fairly close and there is nothing to absorb the noise - no curtains nor carpet). The disappointing part of the experience was the service. Somewhat rushed, charmless and robotic. One of our guests has severe nut allergy which was obviously mentioned at the time of the reservation. There was no reference to it when we sat down nor willingness to really understand the degree of the allergy. This attitude was quite in contrast to numerous other Michelin star restaurants we frequented where there is usually a desire to ensure that no course will be a problem. We have been to over 35 Michelin starred places across the world and Le Coriandre was below par I am afraid. The service needs to be more warm, personal and less automatic pilot style (be it efficient).. We left well fed but not enchanted...
Read moreFinally! A restaurant in Belgium that tries a different path and succeeds. As with other Belgian restaurants, I was hesitant to go to Le Coriandre, but I am happy to say I enjoyed the experience very much. However, it's strength is definitively in the kitchen, with some very interesting combinations of ingredients and techniques. Also, with a fast service and short waiting times between dishes (which is an enormous problem in Belgium, where one can end up waiting 50 minutes for the next course). Le Coriandre is not perfect though: it needs to improve in some aspects, like the breadth and depth of its wine selection, and the amount of servers, but it does have a solid team in the kitchen capable of delivering...

This small, intimate restaurant offers a set menu (4 or 5 courses), and we opted for the 4-course option with wine pairings. From the start, we were warmly welcomed by the attentive waitresses, who took our coats and guided us to our table. We kicked off the evening with a well-crafted cocktail, setting the tone for a refined meal.
The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it a great spot for a relaxed yet elegant dinner. The staff was professional and attentive, though perhaps a bit too formal, lacking some spontaneity. That said, the service was smooth, and the food and wine pairings were well thought out.
Overall, a lovely experience and a place I highly recommend for those looking for a refined and intimate...
