A smart bistro with a sporty vibe - This smart bistro caters to the sports center's athletes (Sport City) and locals and workers. It’s a friendly, pleasant spot suitable for individuals, couples, families, and groups of young people. It is not for balanced diet seekers.
The design offers a refreshed and more welcoming version of a classic sports bar. The name and logo add originality, making it stand out as a unique location.
It’s an ideal place for groups or families after a workout at Sport City. It’s also a great alternative for those seeking something different from the usual pub or sports bar. The creative design, reminiscent of many modern Belgian establishments, is appealing.
The tables are well-arranged; although not widely spaced, they maintain a good level of privacy and discretion. The table service is simple (no tablecloths) but enhanced by branded napkins, quality plates, and cutlery - pleasant and appropriate for the setting.
The service is professional, though not at hotel school standards, not always the fastest, but well-suited to the type of venue. As is common in Belgium, the staff is professional and kind, which is what truly matters, but could be more jovial and interactive. As I always say, sharing a convivial meal adds years to life.
The food quality is typical of a bistrot but varies depending on guest numbers. It’s original compared to standard offerings and acceptable for those with reasonable expectations matching the casual venue type.
Despite being in a sports center, it lacks a robust nutritional menu for athletes or followers of a balanced diet. Some dishes align with the Mediterranean diet, but the vegetable selection could be broader. However, the desserts, inspired by Belgian traditions, are a highlight.
It’s perfect for those finishing sports activities, but not so much for spectators, given the calories :) joking!!! Overall, it’s a place I recommend and...
Read moreInhuman, NO FAMILY FRIENDLY. Don’t go with children and Impolite at maximum. This last Sunday (4 adults) went with a 2 year old baby to the terrace and while we were waiting to be served at the table in the terrace (of this restaurant located in a sports facility, so it should be family friendly…), the baby was eating his snack (milk, banana and some ham) and they said he can’t be eating nothing in the terrace and that we can’t be there. So we had to leave without being served our 4 drinks (despite 3/4 of the terrace was empty) so that the baby can eat his snack. If I were the owner I would fire up immediately this rude waiter in charge today… It has been incredible and never seen anything similar before
Jajaj and it’s even worse! Now I’ve just seen a replied of the “owner” who was not there inventing everything. There weren’t any teenagers, we don’t have jajaj unless you consider late forties the new teenage! I repeat the service is impolite and rude. This is the first time we see this ever. In the rest of the bars thankfully are not like this (they let the 2year baby to drink his milk and eat a banana) . Do choose another place for going...
Read moreI want to congratulate the staff for being the worse and most disrespectful experience I’ve ever had. I was at the front desk inside with my two kids, asking if they have ice cream, when the “waiter” came to me, he just literally open the menu and throw it on a table, and left. I approach him again, just to make the order for some water for the kids, when he stand up again from his chair, showing absolute careless and looking really annoyed..when he approached me, I simply stated this is unprofessional and disrespectful. The “gentleman” behind the desk, he simply told me: “Ok go go, CIAO”. I’m Italy we don’t treat even dogs at the same way, specially in front of kids. Congrats again guys, well...
