This might be the best restaurant in Belize. So so good in every way. We had a large party of 9 and our experience in Belize to date was that serving a party that large was difficult and time consuming. Most places would serve one to two dishes at a time. Maya Bistro had their service down to a science. Almost like eating in a Michelin Star restaurant. Apps were delicious, fresh, and had a local flair on seasoning and presentation. Drinks were expertly crafted and tasted great and were delivered quickly. The main courses were next level good. The nut encrusted fish (Snook) was incredible. A watermelon curry reduction was so good. The sides a take on rice and beans was mashed potatoes and beans. It really was good. The other hit was the pork. Food wise, order the Belizean Breakfast, Ceviche, Shrimp stuffed Squid, Fish of the Day, Cacao Pork, and Hudut depending on when you’re dining there. And their bartenders will take care very good care of you. If you’re staying on property, order a couple of cocktails and snag a hammock,...
