What a disappointment. Does nowhere on Bermuda remember how to deliver customer service any longer? I phoned ahead to book a table, stating I looked forward to celebrating our anniversary at Blu. On arrival instead of "Good evening, and welcome to Blu" I was met with "Habe you booked? What's your name?" I offered it and confirmed I had - still no welcome just a "follow me". Whilst I didnt expect 'top table' I was disappointed to be sat facing a window into the resteraunt as far away from the view as possible! A comfortable cushion made sitting on the patio chair more bearable. Bit the plastic table without either cloth or mats, was more akin to bbq pub food than fine dining. The food was delicious and well presented. Our waiter attentive and friendly. A bowl was automatically provided for shells for my fish course yet I was offered a dessert spoon for my soup! However, having been advised strongly when making the booking regarding their 'strict dress code' disappointed this code of decorum doesn't extend to others guests consideration for others, and that they are attempting to offer a fine dining experience rather than clubhouse banter. However, this was also confusing to see people arriving to collect take out from the matre de desk! I was grateful to receive a complimentary slice of cake to share eith the words happy anniversary on the plate. But would have liked to be asked if we also wanted dessert? Disappointed they only offer dairy coffee and nothing like either soy, oat, lactuse alternatives. Or, that nobody asked about allergies! On asking for the bill, nobody enquired as to how our evening was, too busy tidying away our table literally as we stood. From the website images, and menu, it's got all the makings of somewhere really nice. The reality is, it's confused as to what it is, or who it's trying to serve/appeal to? Overal, an enjoyable meal, let down by poor service attention to detail and lacking in refinement of customer service. And certainly not what I'd expected or hoped for. With SO much in the way of competition on the island, I'm somewhere between shocked and disappointed as to the overall apathy and lack of consideration for any form of real customer consideration. Certainly not the experience I had hoped for, and not one I would consider returning to repeat.

I had high hopes for this restaurant but was very let down. The vegan food in Bermuda overall leaves much to be desired but this restaurant had a vegan menu which seemed promising. Unfortunately, it ended up being pretty disappointing. I ordered the four course vegan meal and the first course was supposed to be focaccia bread. As you can see from my photo, it was a flatbread or pizza at best. When I alerted the staff that this is not in any way, shape, or form “focaccia”, they tried to gaslight me in saying this is what vegan focaccia bread looks like… focaccia bread is naturally vegan unless you top it with non vegan ingredients so this was extremely disappointing. The next was the miso soup which was fine. Next was the main course which was also fine although it was cold, but they were also serving absurd portion sizes. I know they cater to Americans but if I’m ordering a coursed meal, why is each course coming out as a full entree portion? Finally, the dessert was very good actually which was the mango coconut sorbet. As for my partner, we also realized once we got the check that they gave him the black paccheri even though he had ordered the mezze paccheri al ragu. He was wondering why he didn’t like it and it was because they gave him fish when he ordered beef. We told this to the waitress who again tried to gaslight us into saying that’s what he ordered. He hates seafood so would’ve never ordered that. So this place gets two stars due to incorrectly labeling food, way too large portion sizes, and lack of accountability in what they serve you.

I had the pleasure of dining at the Blu Grill restaurant, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The sushi offerings were fantastic, with fresh and delicious. However, I must admit that the Bartoni Roll, topped with a blue sauce, didn't quite suit my taste. The sauce was a bit too sugary but the other selections was delicious. In addition to the fantastic sushi, I would like to highlight a couple of standout dishes at Blu Grill. The grilled oysters were an absolute must-try. They were perfectly cooked, with a delightful smoky flavor that complemented the brininess of the oysters. Each bite was a burst of savory goodness. Overall, my experience at Blu Grill was truly enjoyable. From the delectable sushi options to the must-try grilled oysters and tuna tartare, the culinary offerings exceeded my expectations. The wine selection at Blu Grill was perfect. They offered a wide variety of wines, catering to different preferences and enhancing the dining experience. The service we received was also commendable, with attentive and friendly staff who ensured our needs were met throughout the meal. Despite my personal preference regarding the Bartoni Roll, I would still highly recommend Blu Grill for its exceptional sushi, extensive wine selection, and overall great service. It's a restaurant that is worth a visit.

EXCELLENT service !!! BLU is one of my favorite restaurants in Bermuda. I love the atmosphere here, and of course the food! & I can't forget the beautiful views!! Blu restaurant helped create a memory I'll never forget. I was 5 month pregnant and wanted to have an intimate gender reveal ( is it a bit or is it a girl??) with just my other half and I. I called Blu to make a reservation for this special occasion told them what I wanted to plan and they assured me that everything could be taken care of. I didn't give them much notice but still tried my luck and asked for a cake to reveal the gender. They said they will try to accommodate that request but if not they will come up with something as nice.. We arrived to the restaurant and they sat us at our table which we decorated once we got there they was going to take care of the rest.. We ordered dinner which was amazing. The service was Great everyone who served us did a great job I wish I could remember all their names but they was amazing as a team.... Then came dessert we was full by then, but knew that soon we was going to find out the gender of our unborn baby. Then the moment arrived the waiters all gathered came with two cakes one with blue icing one with pink it was a chocolate fudge cake . And a box the box had the ballon with the gender and a envelope we a had received from the ultrasound that determined gender . They kindly video taped the whole reveal as we opened the box a Blue balloon popped out!! Tears of joy!! Thanks BLU for helping me to never forget that special day!! P. S Sushi lovers they have...

"Our experience at the blu bar restaurant this weekend was nothing short of disappointing. We had reserved the outside area for my fiancé's 40th birthday party, only to be met with hostility and unprofessionalism from the manager/hostess. After being informed that the outside area was closed, we agreed to wait for seating in the main dining room. However, instead of handling the situation with grace and professionalism, the manager/hostess proceeded to yell at us and made inappropriate remarks about seating us in a "room meant for private events with little windows in the rear of the hotel. The behavior exhibited by the manager/hostess was not only aggressive but also highly unprofessional. In a restaurant of such caliber, guests should be treated with respect and courtesy, especially when celebrating special occasions. It is evident that the manager/hostess lacked the necessary interpersonal skills to interact with customers in a service-oriented industry. Overall, our experience was marred by this unpleasant encounter with the manager/hostess. Her behavior left a negative impact on what should have been a joyous celebration. Moving forward, it would be prudent for the establishment to reevaluate their staff training and ensure that individuals who represent the restaurant uphold a standard of professionalism and customer service. Guests should feel welcomed and valued, not subjected to unwarranted aggression and rudeness. This experience has certainly soured our perception of the restaurant, and we hope that management takes steps to address such behavior in...
