La Casa del Camba — Restaurant in Santa Cruz de la Sierra

I absolutely love this place. There are plenty of places to get a good steak or chicken in Santa Cruz, but for me the duck steals the show in Casa de Camba. I try my best to explore the menu whenever I return to a restaurant and avoid the trap of falling into a single dish each time, but the majao de pato dish is far too good to consider anything else! I’m a huge fan of duck, but rarely find it while traveling, or even at home. The duck here is very moist and tender, full of flavor. I wrote a review for this place after we went with my family on 2019, but they deleted. This place is a money grabber, their barbecue was salty and when I complained they did nothing about it. You will get charged extra for a small water bottle and a pics with that hat. They are deleting reviews, only keeping the good ones that who knows if those even were real. What a nice place. Feels like walking into a Bolivian TGI Fridays but then you're greeted by the nicest staff and treated to very generous portions of excellent food. The option for empanadas, a platter of traditional Bolivian food and trio of desserts is excellent value and left us with leftovers (which we took home).
