Arte e Sabor — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata de Angra dos Reis

Went for dinner and put our names down for a table and told we would be next. Came back 10 mins later and the guy had completely forgotten who we were and put us to the back of the list. When we got in the service was so slow - the waitress came by 3 times before she took our order. They have an English menu and a Brazilian menu (they gave us both because we were a mixed group) but the prices differ wildly between the 2 (BR is more expensive and apparently the actual one) so confusing! Also not clear what dishes are for one person or for sharing as they have a mix of both. After we’d finally ordered, 2 other tables seated after us had their food before we had ours. The waitress came back to ask a question about our order and we realised she’d told the kitchen 2 completely wrong dishes in our order. Finally the food came and it was totally bland and awful. Spaghetti was glued to itself from sitting on the pass too long and prawns were completely dry and overcooked. Literally just plain seasoned spaghetti with prawns, such a basic and poorly executed dish. Paraty Piexe was so strange: fish cooked in coconut cream with raw carrots, flaked almonds and bacon bits??? Literally disgusting. Considering the high rating of this restaurant we expected so much...

Good food, but the service could be better. First, our party of four were left standing by the door for several minutes, trying to get someone's attention while waiters walked by us several times and chit-chatted with diners. All good, it's a small town, and it's nice to see a more chilled and personable approach. But then it took several polite calls until someone finally decided to acknowledge we were there and allowed us to take our seat. Once we sat down, it then took a few minutes just to get a menu, and then no one came to take our food order for over 20 minutes. All in all, it took almost an hour from us first arriving to just getting our first drinks. Bearing in mind, this wasn't at peak dinner time and waiters would stand and chat to other tables for minutes on end. Again, no issues there as we weren't in a hurry. It was only when we realised that two other tables who arrived long after us both got their menu, orders taken, and food way ahead of us, that's when we felt let down. We were cordial and patient throughout the whole experience but feel we weren't given the same level of service as other diners.

Was highly recommended to go here but was a little disappointed We were a party of 6 and there wasn’t any tables big enough so they put together one by the door and people kept banging into me all night as there were walking past the staff were nice and helpful and the food was nice but simple, the local fish piexe paraty dish was ok the fish was dry and didn’t have much flavour and the rice was dry but at least had some flavour and it was served in a white cream with a few thin slices of carrot and some almonds i wish there were some proper vegetables its too much beige also would be great is there were more vegan and vegetarian option as there was only one vegan option the fish with garlic was good but came with rice and fries nothing else and it was a bit too much beige and carbs so would have been nice to have veggies on the side at...
