We stumbled across this place while visiting the beach. At first, we just wanted to sit down and enjoy some water and soda, but we ended up having a couple of beers and decided to stay for lunch and we’re so glad we did!

The service was excellent. The staff went out of their way to communicate with us in English. They also had a Spanish-speaking staff member, which was a big help and made us feel even more welcome.

We started with the fried tapioca, which came with a pineapple sauce. it was delicious and a great app to start. For our main dish, we shared the moqueca jajico, a fish stew that was absolutely fantastic. The portion was very generous more then enough for two people.

Everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing, and the food really exceeded our expectations. If we lived nearby, we’d come here all the time....

Today was a rainy day in Paraty and we were slightly disappointed not to have that kind of sunny weather that calls out for a beach day. Jajigo restaurant tho managed to help us enjoy what was definitely the best meal we've had during our Brazilian trip. First we sat on the beach below a huge umbrella to enjoy the view of fishermen and seagulls while siping a delicious juice of pineapple and maracuya and a classic caipirinha with local cachaça. Later we were delighted to taste a wonderful grilled octopus and great squids and other seafood. Simply an unforgettable experience also thanks to the great staff. visit Jajigo and you...

They forgot our food. We waited one hour until we reminded them and they didn’t even admit to their mistake after 2 tables that came half an hour later already had their food. We only ordered three snacks (all starters: salad, tapioca and a disgusting cold crab side dish), but they used it as an excuse that we “ordered it all at once” after the table that came afterwards was served two steaks. And for this worst experience in Brazil (which I love)...
