Sea Food Araçatiba — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata de Angra dos Reis

We had to wait more than 1 hour, as there where only 4 tables. We ordered 1st of 3 and got last our food. Beans, Rice, Salad Decoration and BBQ Squid. Beans had been forgotten and salad we had to ask for vinegar and oil. The dishes are served for 2 person, but it were so less squid, one person could eat them easily alone.

They Caipi is not made with love. Sugar is all on the bottom, Limes squeezed just like a very little. Caipi taste only like Cachaca. Worst Caipi we drunk at our journey through Brazil.

They charged us 319.000 Reais for BBQ Squid, Beans, Rice, Salat Decoration, 4 Caipi and 1 water. I mean, Sqiud us from the sea a few meters away, Rice and beans is low cost. They shouldn't cook anything special... We are ready to pay more on a island and also for good food. But this was not worth the money!

I don't really understand all the praise in other reviews. The dish we ordered (some kind of seafood mix in a bowl) was barely OK (It tasted good, but there were lots of inedible parts like tons of fish spines and other stuff that I probably would be afraid to identify :D). The prices are very high compared to the quality (I gues we paid around 100 USD for a rather small supper...

We found this place walking through town and we’re very impressed. Service was quick and friendly. Limited English or Spanish but wasn’t an issue. We ordered the executivos and they were amazing and great value for the amount of food you get at a restaurant with such an amazing view. We’ll likely go back again before we leave...
