I visited Mandir while on vacation in Fortaleza with my boyfriend Mallkon who lives a few blocks away. The place is very enchanting with lovely music playing all around. Unfortunately, I don't speak or read Portuguese and they don't have an English version of their menu. Mallkon had to translate everything for me. When my food arrived, it was amazing! It was so flavorful. I could have ordered double portions. Even though the staff did not speak much English they were always smiling and the cashier (who I think might be the owner) tried his best to welcome me. I will definitely be going back to Mandir when I get the opportunity to visit Fortaleza again. I highly recommend...

The restaurant's decor is very nice and spread harmony and peace.
Staff is nice and not formal. The service is quick and the food is quite good.
Every day the restaurant proposes a few dishes, this guarantees that the food is fresh and coocked the same day.
Not so impressed by the cheesecake, with basically no taste, otherwise if you are looking for a vegetarian/vegan/healthy meal, stop here.

O Mandir é um restaurante vegano no tradicional e jovial bairro do Benfica, próximo a Universidade Federal do Ceará, campus Benfica. Lá há poucas opções de comida mas de longe isso é ruim. O cardápio é prático e assertivo. Somente para almoços. Refeições e sobremesas são servidas a um preço acessível e tem suco e chá de graça para todos. Ambiente todo good vives indiano e espaço MARAVILHOSO de fazer a cesta no andar superior. Todos educados e gentis, até clientes. Mas costuma ser sempre cheio devido a falta de opção na cidade. Passível de espera. Há. No caixa vc ainda pode fazer doação para o almoço solidário, onde quem quer comer e não tem condições pode pedir uma refeição simples, que sai desse fundo de ajuda ao próximo.
