Art Museum of the Federal University of Ceará — Attraction in Região Geográfica Imediata de Fortaleza

This museum is definitely a wonderful attraction for everyone visiting or living in this city. It provides a great chance to admire and learn a little about the most famous local artists and painters and also about the local & regional traditional culture from the Northeast of Brazil. For instance, “xilogravura” and the regional sculpture made with clay. This museum has specially dedicated rooms for the most famous Brazilian and regional artists like “Descartes Gadelha”, “Xico da Silva” and “Aldemir Martins”, all of them with great pieces of art that make the visiting a very delightful experience. This museum also have a room dedicated to the pieces of art from some international painters.

The visit to this museum is free and happens during all the weekdays what helps the visitors to plan an schedule a visit.

Excelente lugar para visitar. Arte e cultura em uma universidade de ponta. O acervo é fantástico, sabe mesclar as vanguardas européias com a valorização da terra. O destaque de artistas locais do lado de mestres como Picasso e Miró ficou excelente. Um parabéns especial aos guias da exposição, todos estudantes da própria universidade. O preparo e a fluência em falar das mais diversas obras, estilos artísticos e também de como se situam no espaço-tempo é uma parte fundamental do passeio....

Um espaço magnífico, juntamente com um acervo diverso e interessante. Recomendo a visita! A entrada é gratuita e pode participar de passeios nas exposições permanentes dos artistas cearenses presentes no museu: Raimundo Cela, Antônio Bandeira, Chico da Silva, Decartes Gadelha e Aldemir Martins. Além de outros espaços igualmente importantes como a Sala Cultura Popular, Sala Os Fundadores, Sala Arte Cearense e Sala Arte Estrangeira. Existe uma programação todo mês no lugar e vale muito sua...
