Vero Café, Pasta & Vino — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata de Maceió

First time we went to this restaurant location, we decided to try, even though we had bad experience at the other location. The place is beautiful, the staff is friendly but their order system is terrible. They leave (sometimes 😒) a tablet so you can order yourself but there are NOT enough tablets for all tables so when we wanted to order the main plate, we asked to the waiter 4 times for a tablet, and nothing, then when I was about to leave, 20min later, someone came to place our order. So, I believe this is a terrible strategy for a place that sells food 😢. Then a famous digital influencer arrived and we noticed how fast and well treated she was… The food is good, but that’s it. Worth the price, yes. I will comeback, no, unfortunately. Oh, did I mention that they brought us our meal without cleaning our table? And without cutlery? Of course, the waiter are never around to...

The venue and atmosphere is nice. But that’s also where the pleasant experience ends as food, drinks and service did not live up to the expectations. I would recommend everyone who enjoys Negronis to not order them here (bad flavour, wrong colour, served warm in a small glass bottle to pour over warm glass with orange slices). Same counts for the spagehtti cacio and pepe which had nothing to do with the original italian dish and rather was a creamy cheese tagliatelle with some pepper. Needless to say then that the risotto was just some watery rice topped with ricotta delivering no flavour. In terms of the service, the bare minimum was done and we were made to order on a tablet after the QR code menu didn’t work for us, even though we actually couldn’t order or pay there and still needed to communicate with the unattentive person serving us. Vero – Brazil

I had a wonderful experience at Vero. As an English speaker traveling in Brazil, I truly appreciated that their menu included pictures, which made it so much easier to explore the dishes with confidence. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, and I can honestly say it was some of the friendliest and most welcoming service I’ve had in Brazil so far.
