As the saying goes, once your eat Indian spicy food, your mouth and mind craves for it again and again. Weekends brings in lot of hungry visitors. Vishnu, with the little access he has to Indian ingredients in Salvador da Bahia, has managed to invent his way to still put a very tasty Indian food on your table with a very Indian decor with incense sticks and Indian dressed staff. I have experience with eating Pakistani and Indian food. I have also worked at an indian restaurant. My experience however comes from the EUA. I wanted to see what Salvador had to offer and was surprised to see that there is an indian restaurant here. I went the same day. The host was welcoming and the atmosphere was comfortable. The food however was a bit disappointing and doesn't do indian food justice, the tikka masala , briyani, and garlic bread were all lacking in flavor. I took my in-laws to this place as it was the first time trying indian food for them. The place was full on Saturday, so we were glad we had reservations. We ordered the vegetarian , chicken, and shrimp thali for each of us. The owner vishnu was very attentive to our needs as we expected the standard indian spice while my in-laws didn't want spice at all. Also, Vishnu offered to make onion pakoras for us, which was not on the menu. While my in-laws felt the food was a bit spicy, we found the thali to be delicious.
