I got food poisoning!! I was excited to visit this place after seeing it is one of the top rated places on the island. However my experience must have been an unlucky one. I ordered the shrimp risotto after it was recommended by the waiter. The first time it arrived, the shrimp was overcooked and had a rubbery texture. They remade the dish and this time risotto rice was overcooked, to the one it was a mushy pure, I sent this dish away. We were also told they did not have the dessert they recommended most, after having ordered it. The cutlery is covered in cling film which looked tacky. The churros dessert is supposed to have one filled with Dulce de Leche and the other Nutella however this was messed up too with both being filled with Dulce de Leche. Nothing was done to rectify this and no apology was offered, i had to ask them to take the risotto off the bill out of principle. I would not...

We went this place just coincidence. Food was good, portion was a bit smaller than I expected; staff was friendly. I had mignon which was tender and good taste. It is served with buttered pieced bread - was delicious. My friend had seafood pasta and it was not that good. It was very sour- couldn’t finish.

Restaurant was well decorated but aircon is not enough inside. You should find a table out to enjoy dinner more. My last comment is about painting on the wall- does it really need to have owner photo? It is a bit strange to see owners several photos pictured and hanged in the entrance. why would someone place his several photos in the restaurant? It is so irrelevant and...

Restaurant with beautiful decor serving yummy food is almost impossible to find, beeing on small island might be more difficult but is possible at Cacimba. Great service and tasty local food, good drinks with convenient location between beach and island centre. Highly recommended, the food arrived with some little flies to accompany the dish but in fact was delicious octopus pot so not surprised than they follow the sea food on the wild island quite easily.
