Restaurante Caldinho do Nenen - Pina — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata do Recife

This bar/restaurant sits right on the beach of the best part of Porto de Galinhas. We were a little hungry and there are lots of choices in this area, so we asked if we could take a look. They have a second floor that offers a beautiful view of the beach and the boats (“jangadas”) moored in front of the restaurant. I really wanted to have some oysters and they got ‘em! They have oysters and clams in a saltwater tank. After ordering them, the shucker came and sat at our table and opened some very large local oysters for us. They were fresh and delicious and cost less than $2 each!!! Then we ordered some clams cooked in broth (24 clams cooked simply, with onions and peppers) They only cost $13 and were also delicious. The style of cooking is the way they prepare them in Bahia. The flavor of the clams really comes through. The broth was also wonderful. All of the waiters were very friendly and we were not rushed at all. We washed it down with a few Heinekens and our bill, with the tip was a mere $45. We went to this place almost every day. Upstairs was nice with a beautiful view to the beach. Each and every single member of staff were amazing, carring and helpful. We had a 5 stars tratment from everyone. Edison the manager was so nice and professional. It was the only place in Porto de Galinhas that we weren't stoped every 5 minutes by someone trying to sell something while your meal or drink. We all understand that they are trying to make some money, but its so unpleasant that you have about 100 people trying to sell the same thing. Fui almoçar duas vezes no Caldinho do Nenen e fui surpreendido pela comida e pelo atendimento. Fomos bem atendidos pelos funcionários e o cardápio possui bastante variedade de pratos com frutos do mar e carnes, o preço dos pratos achei bastante coerente com a proposta e pela região em comparação com outros restaurantes.

Na primeira vez pedimos um caldinho de camarão como petisco, que estava uma delícia e bem servido para uma pessoa. Como prato principal pedimos um risoto de camarão com polvo que estava bastante cremoso e saboroso, com bastante presença do sabor dos frutos do mar.

Na segunda vez, fomos direto para o principal e pedimos um almoço para 2 pessoas, uma carne de sol a moda da casa, a carne estava muito boa e no ponto certo, as guarnições são bem servidas para 2 pessoas, podendo satisfazer até 3 pessoas tranquilamente. Achei que a quantidade de queijo coalho poderia ser um pouco maior pela quantidade de carne.

No mais é um ótimo lugar para ir almoçar em casal ou família, mas por ter um ambiente um pouco aberto e as mesas serem um pouco próximas, possui muito barulho no local que às vezes é necessário aumentar o tom de voz para poder conversar. Para crianças, o restaurante possui um espaço "Kids", um local climatizado com bastante brinquedos para se divertirem.

Uma coisa que achei confuso na primeira vez que fui, é que alguns garçons ficam passando pelas mesas oferecendo alguns petiscos, achei legal pela rapidez, pois você não precisa esperar o garçom que está te atendendo anotar o pedido e lançar na comanda, porém em alguns momentos pode ser chato, pois toda hora a conversa é interrompida para responder ao garçom.

O restaurante possui um estacionamento privado, mas a depender do dia será difícil encontrar vaga pela demanda de pessoas, mas não será difícil encontrar vaga pelas ruas...
