A Saideira — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata do Rio de Janeiro

I attempted to dine at this restaurant before going back to the US. One of the waiters looked right at me and continued talking or whatever he was doing. I lifted my menu to let them know that I was at least there and no one walked over to my table. A fair skinned lady walked up to view the menu and one of the waiters ran over to greet her. After sitting at the table for 5 minutes, I took my things and went to another restaurant. As soon as I left, a family sat at the same exact table where I was and they were greeted immediately. I feel like I was dismissed because of the color of my skin. In other words, the employees at the restaurant appeared to be prejudice: let me let you in on a little secret, ALL money is the same. 7/6/24 between 7-8 pm. Vagner was our waiter & he did a great job taking care of us. Promptly took us to a table, gave us menus in English & returned with our food in what seemed only minutes. My husband & I both got burgers & they were delicous. They were good size (filled the bun to the edges) & they came with lettuce, tomato & pickles. They also came with chips, which we honestly weren't fond of (maybe just us), so we ordered some fries & got a basket of HOT fries moments later. Everything was hot & delicous.. . they hit the spot. Would definitely recommend & we would come back if ever passing thru GIG in the future. Vagner was smiley & kind & made our visit enjoyable....

An absolute disaster of a service and very rude staff. I am writing this review as I am sitting there for already 40 mins waiting on my order. The cashier was very unprofessional and kept looking at us in a sarcastic way because we followed up multiple times on getting the menu after sitting there for 25 mins with no one even servicing us while she is sitting behind the counter sipping her coffee and eating a sandwich. The waiter was on his own but when it became clear that we were upset, he started delaying us on purpose.
