Avoid This Subway at All Costs!

I had the misfortune of visiting the Subway at GIG airport and it was, hands down, the worst experience I've ever had with a Subway. The staff were incredibly rude; when I tried to communicate in my broken Portuguese, they didn't offer any help or patience. Instead, they laughed at my struggle, which was not only unprofessional but also deeply embarrassing.

As for the food, I've never had a sandwich so disappointing. The sandwiches were served ice-cold, far from the warm, toasted experience you expect from Subway. When I pointed this out and asked them to warm it up, they did so, but the sandwich was still chillingly cold. It was as if they just pretended to heat it up. The taste was equally off-putting; it was one of the nastiest sandwiches I've ever eaten.

Came here for a quick pre flight snack, we have some currency to use up and it seemed quick and easy. We ordered a vegetarian foot long sub and went through the motions of answering the lady as she gave us the options. We had it 'toasted' which was pointless by the time we paid and got to eat it. Besides the awful plastic cheese taste we were very unimpressed that the price was higher than advertised and we were informed it was because we had cheese, however as we pointed out nobody told us this was extra, which continued to help as we argued our point. I was treated very rude while ordering here. I don’t speak Portuguese and the staff didn’t speak English. Since I do speak Spanish it shouldn’t be such a problem, since the languages are a bit similar. Unfortunately they didn’t even try to understand, didn’t help me figure it out and even made fun of me. They were laughing at me while I was trying to order. They were talking about me, as if I couldn’t understand what they were saying. The staff shouldn’t be working at an airport with this attitude towards foreigners....
