Similar to other reviews, I tried getting a table at nearby Oizumi Sushi, and was redirected here. I think it was an even better choice as I truly had very personalized and exceptional service. The 16 course Omakase was a great value and even though I am a larger guy and arrived hungry, I left full. The variety and quality of the fish competes with that of Japan and the staff puts extreme care into every bite. The food itself was amazing, but the younger server, Rodrigo, spoke English to me and made the process much more fun and inviting. He had a great attitude, something you find so rarely. I do not think they get foreigners too often, but no where in Sao Paulo does. It exceeded every expectation I could have had and I highly recommend you consider this spot, even over other more notable locations. I had a few ingredients that were a first for me. Recommend sitting...
Read moreIgnore the bad reviews, this place is a great find. An Izakaya that competes in standard with the top Omakase restaurants in SP and at a great price for 17 courses. The sushi is on a par with or even better than some Michelin star establishments here. Yes the ambience is that of an Izakaya so don’t expect the serenity of some of the fancier places, but the homely and friendly atmosphere is a breath of fresh air! The young waiter (I’m afraid I forgot his name) was very welcoming and elevated the experience. Highly recommended. Note we had tried to get a table spontaneously at Oizumi a few blocks away but was obviously packed on a Friday night, and a chef who happened to be outside on a break recommended Kuzuri… he clearly knew what he was...
