One of the best places to eat traditional peruvian food. The location is a bit dodgy, but it's the "undergroundish" touch (despite to reach the restaurant you need to climb a high stair to the first floor). The food is good, if you are in two persons and want to eat well and spend less, don't think twice, order the white fish ceviche (medium size), the mixed ceviche isn't so good...the other seafood are kind of bland. The spices don't stuck to them. And if you want to experience the maximum flavour EVER, here goes my tip, a personal recipe for a wonderful experience: Order the white fish ceviche, order the Leche de Tigre, ask for a deep dish, mix the leche with the ceviche. I know they say that the ceviche comes with the leche de tigre, but this one is too soft...a little watery. Taste without the standalone and then with the standalone...and tell me if I'm right. For the drinks, run away from the Pisco Sour, that's not Pisco, it's bad quality cachaça in Pisco bottles that will get you drunk and with headaches. If you are up to it, then go for it. For good quality drinks and a good ceviche, visit Huaco in Vila Madalena, a little more expensive, but the drinks and food are good. If you don't need the drink, Riconcito is a wonderful place to eat, spend not so much and have a...

As a Peruvian living in Brazil I would recommend you to go here, and also to have a little patience with my Peruvian and Bolivian comrades as they strive the best they can to give a nice service. Remember that "Pollo a la brasa" (for those lovers of this dish, I am included) is only served from 4pm, and it has a limited number of dishes per day, so if you are looking for it, arrive at 4 or 5 pm so you assure your order. Do not miss the chance to order...
Read moreGot referred here on various occasions and although it is true that the neighbourhood is a bit run down - to be honest, that's part of SP's raw character and I came to like it - the place is obviously hidden by a flight of stairs.
We ordered the family-size white fish ceviche (Ceviche de Pescado familiair) which was huge! Among the three of us we are very hungry eaters and were struggling to finish the plate. Also try the Ajores dolce de leche cookies for dessert. They sandy pastry and caramel-like filling are really good!
Service was excellent and friendly - even english spoken! The all peruvian staff surely lives up to the...
