Captain's cabin - Lady's Mile Beach — Restaurant in Cyprus

The most disgusting service I have ever seen in Cyprus. To say that I am shocked is an understatement. A week before visiting Captan’s Cabin, I made a reservation for cabana. When I went to the reservation, they let me through, the man who serves on the beach could not find my reservation, he spoke to me very rudely and not nicely in front of everyone, in front of the children and my friends. I found free beds, but he said that they were reserved, although regular beds cannot be reserved. This was also told to me over the phone, but he argued that it was written there that they were reserved. He asked me to leave the beach to go back to the reservation and ask there, I left the children on these beds, in the end when we arrived at the reservation he started screaming even more because I demanded a manager since it was impossible to talk to him, in the end I got the manager not provided. They found my reservation not for a cabana, but for a table in a cafe, and I said that this was a mistake. Instead of giving me a cabana, he continued to scream in front of everyone. The girl who works there started looking for something for me, and when she already realized that I had found cabana, she said that I could stay there since they were not reserved. We stayed, I don’t want to write about food and drinks, that we have to wait for a very long time for everything and that all the bills are brought separately, because it’s normal compared to what’s happening there. At 4 o'clock in the evening, when I went closer to the sea with my child and sat down on one of the cabana for a few minutes, where there were about 4-5 free cabanas , another man ran up to me and asked me to leave since this is not my place and people might come at the end of the day and because of me they will not have find a place (4-5 cabanas were empty) and again very rude. I no longer had the strength, I just took the kids and left. Disgusting service, no respect. We won't go there again and neither will...

I would like to share my experience at Captains Cabin in Limassol. I visit this restaurant every year and was disappointed with several aspects this time around.

Although the restaurant has recently been redesigned and is moving towards fine dining, the concept still needs time to be executed properly. One of the biggest issues was that the waiters were chatting among themselves while we waited for our menus. This is unprofessional and disrespectful to the guests who are looking forward to a nice time at the restaurant.

Another problem was the inconsistency in serving the dishes. The starters were brought at different times, leading to an unpleasant dining experience. The main course was served with the calamari first and the fish coming five minutes later. Even though the fish was filleted at the table, it was unfortunately cold when we finally started to eat.

When we informed the waiter that the rice was too salty, he did not offer an alternative option and only said that he would inform the kitchen. This was disappointing and showed a lack of customer orientation.

Moreover, the staff did not ask if we wanted new drinks, which was a shame. Also, despite the restaurant having only a few groups of guests, some of the starters were brought to the wrong tables, indicating poor organization.

Overall, I got the impression that the staff at Captains Cabin was not well-prepared for the fine-dining concept and needs more training to meet the high standards of the guests. Nonetheless, I hope that the mentioned issues will be addressed by my next visit to make the restaurant a pleasant place for a nice meal...

I don't even know where to begin. We arrived around 3 PM to have a chill afternoon, we picked frontline sunbeds and wanted to scan the qr to place our orders. Given the qr code didn t work,we called a guy (several times) to take our order. And from here starts what I would call the worst service and treatment l've ever experienced. 45 min passed and we still didn't have anything on our tables... but the stuff kept coming during this time to ask money for the sunbeds! Hilarious. When we told them we will not pay until we receive at least the water that it is included in the price, they kept saying "if you don't want to sit here, move on the other sunbeds (cheaper)" as if we could not afford to pay them. We asked to speak with the manager, who didn't even listen to what we were saying, all she cared about is if we can afford to pay or not! Ok. We ordered food when the drinks finallyyy arrived as we were starving. After 1h !! my partner had to go again and ask what is happening just to find out our order wasn t even placed wow, had to wait another 30 min till we got some frozen disgusting pizzas and a club sandwich and a fruit platter as an attention from the manager😅 We ve been to this place a few times,and the service wasn t amazing for the price you paying, but not as awful as this time. My friends were here in cyprus for the first time, and these people showed us nothing but disrespect and arrogance. We will not come...
