They have 3 branches and this one is one of the best branch. Situated in 28th floor of Flatiron Building, you have the whole PP in your sight. A wonderful sight indeed.
The service is great and they are very welcoming. We visit as a family. We get the "free flow business lunch" package. With a price tag of $17.9/person, u can enjoy 1 main course (only 1 time order) and a free flow of buffet (mostly salad bars, desserts and soup) and also drinks (all type of coffees & boxed fruit juice). The time window for lunch buffet is from 11AM - 3PM.
Initially, it seems pretty steep (compare to other all u can eat buffet) with that price tag, BUT they are DELICIOUS..
I choose a steak as the main course, and boy it was spot on. I take a medium steak (70%) and it was one of the best steak I ever had. I would pay the $17.9 price tag for just the steak only, but the salad bar, desserts, soup were a great additional as well.
They provide a healtier options for buffett segments with their various salad bar.
Their food was good & the pricing was fair but since they add the breathtaking sight of PP then it was the winner. We would probably go back once in a while to other Khema for the food, but for this specific branch, we will definitely go back. They just tick all the boxes.
The only downside is probably the parking spot which is limited since they share the building with other offices & residences. So you...
Read moreKhema at FlatIron is in a very fine setting, on the 28th floor of a swish building with extensive views over the Phnom-Penh suburbs. Food however is a bit so so. I went for the well-priced business lunch which includes all you can eat from a salad and cold cuts buffet as well as desserts, in addition to a choice of a hot main course, plus coffee. The buffet was a bit unexceptional, with only one salad I really liked (fromage de tête, potato and gherkin) and truly awful black olives in two salads. The desserts on the buffet were somewhat tasteless, especially a sort of very watery milky baked rice pudding. I had chosen steak frites with pepper sauce as a main dish. It arrived somewhat tepid, cooked correctly to my specifications. The French fries got cold and less than pleasant very quickly. As for service: I was seated right in the middle of the room despite having booked and there being more pleasant seating by the lovely window views. My main dish plate was not cleared while I was eating my dessert. I had pushed it away from me. All in all, I remember getting better food and service in the other...
Read moreMy second time at Free Flow lunch at Khema Flatiron. The first time it was packed and service was hideously slow: we had to wait for almost half an hour to order and almost 40 min for the order to come out. Restaurant is not designed for full house: finishing materials don't absorb all noises, and it becomes really hard to hear what your counterparts at the table say - that hum becomes so loud. Seafood risotto was too smelly, my friend couldn't finish. Turned out many guest has similar complaints about their seafood dishes. I'd blame poor logistics.
Our second time was much better as we scheduled to arrive later, hoping by then most of the office workers in the building would be gone. Keep in mind that the last order for the Free Flow lunch should be placed no later than 2:30pm Not all construction work is finished yet, it seems. There was a very strong acetone smell on the premises, and it gave me some headache.
I'd recommend their French onion soup, ravioli (portions is small), pina colada dessert.
The view from the...
