While on holiday in Abbotsford BC visiting my sister, we stopped by this seemingly cool brewery on Sunday Sept 18. Service at time of purchase was pleasant. The owner had just arrived and proudly shared information about his beers. Likewise, the female attendant allowed us to try a sample ahead of making a decision on our take out purchase. Left saying what a swell place, it would have been nice to have been able to stay in for a drink. Purchased 2 x 4 packs (Marshmellow Stout + Dope Sour Raspberry Guave). Both packs were not chilled. Got back to my sisters and eagerly put them in the fridge. On Monday, excitedly endeavoured to drink our 38$ purchase of beer. Pour a glass of raspberry beer for each of us. Beer is entirely flat. Empty it. Open a 3rd to see if it's also flat. It's flat. Empty it. Pour 2 glasses of Marshmellow Stout. Beer is entirely flat. Open a 3rd can, also flat. Have 1 can of raspberry and 1 can of Marshmellow left. Not even opening them. Call the owner. He answers. He asks if they were put in the fridge. We confirm yes. He advised to text last 4 digits of credit card, along with proof of purchase and a refund will be issued on Wednesday when they reopen. Got off the phone, thinking WOW - what great service. Glad it was this easy since we leave town Tuesday. Promptly texted requested information. Wednesday roles around, no confirmation of refund. Follow up on Thursday regarding refund. Receive a huge text advising that cans were tested and none had a carbonation issue. Furthermore, the owner now informs in order to obtain the refund that was promised, the cans need to be returned to the brewery. I explained I'm no longer in the province. Had I had been informed this process at the time of call, I would have asked my sister to bring back to the 2 cans. Explained this to the owner, who then became very aggressive and touted rules and regulates for refunds. The owner then went on to accuse us of lying about the flat cans.
Fine, I'm out 38$. It sucks. Life goes on. However, due to a multitude of wrong doings on the part of this company, I'm obliged to leave a review:
This company should have informed the proper procedure when I called. . At the very least, they could have taken ownership and apologized for the misinformation on the process.
The owner's communications were argumentative and aggressive. He called me a liar and insisted this canning issue was impossible. He than said he was going to block. Who talks like this? And of all things, to a customer who is on the losing end of an awful experience. Not a single apology or ounce of ownership in this less than ideal situation.
He concluded by telling me to...
Second visit to Loud Mouth Brewing Co. — back in Abbotsford for another feast! Last time we had their Boss Platter and it left such a strong impression on us, so this time we decided to try another signature dish: the Soprano Platter. We arrived around 12:30 PM, not expecting the huge weekend crowd — it was packed! We ended up waiting for a full two hours before we finally got seated.
But honestly, the owner is a total pro at keeping guests happy — a warm, friendly middle-aged white guy who knows exactly how to ease the tension. He was super enthusiastic and had this amazing way of talking that made everyone smile and wait patiently, no matter how long the line was. When I asked him for the third time how much longer we had to wait, he told me, “You’re third on the list, but in my heart, you’ve always been number one.” — I mean… smooth talker! Finally, at 2:30 PM, we got seated! This time we ordered the Soprano Platter, which includes: • Chicken wings • Smoked brisket • Smoked pulled pork • Sausages • Plus 4 mini burgers, 4 types of sauces, and a Chop Salad.
Since the platter doesn’t come with sides, we added a Panko-crusted onion rings. The portion size was massive — definitely enough to feed 3 to 4 hungry adults.
Now for the food experience — a bit mixed, to be honest. The chicken wings weren’t really my thing, just okay. The brisket and pulled pork were still super flavorful and had great texture, but a bit on the salty side, so we kept reaching for our drinks while eating.
Still, despite the wait and the saltiness, we feel this place is absolutely worth visiting. You can tell the owner puts a lot of thought into every detail — from the decor and layout to how he runs and manages the restaurant. It’s not easy to build something like this, and we really...
Read moreThe staff and the owner are very friendly and welcoming here. We traveled from Coquitlam to visit here and I would say it was well worth it. The owner makes the experience very personal. He goes out of his way to greet all of his customers and makes them feel so welcomed. He has an amazing sense of humour, and was very kind in giving us a few beers to take home with us.
The food is very delicious aswell, we all ordered either a sandwich/burger and the portion size was great. Very fresh, and made pretty quickly. If you’re looking for great burgers and smoke house meat this is a great brewery to come to.
The beer is great, I had the raspberry sour and I loved it. Very delicious and easy to drink. Not too watered down. They had about 7 beer options. ( And a fridge full of soda for non beer drinkers) My friends bought a few cans to bring home with us so we can share with others.
The establishment itself is nice and clean, good amount of seating. And easy to read menu. I do wish that they were open a bit longer on a Friday and Saturday night so we could have drank a bit more after work. Aswell it is a bit small ( it is a microbrewery) and can get loud so if you want a quiet sit down evening I would suggest somewhere else.
But overall I LOVED it and would highly recommend coming here for delicious food and beer. Will be coming...
