Shawarma Palace- Airdrie — Restaurant in Airdrie

I have been coming to shawarma palace for years because the food is second to none. Amazing. However, from now on my friends, family and I will NOT be spending our money here ever again.

On January 19, 2021 at approx. 6pm I went to buy dinner and asked for a large trio wrap extra meat. I paid for the meal and realized that the order the workers made was incorrect. They prepared a large beef wrap extra meat. I told the workers that this is not what I ordered. One of the employees (brown male, approx. 5'11, medium build, Filipino accent, black snapback hat) refused to correct the order as I had already paid. I told him once again this is not what I asked for. The worker told me that this is what I asked for and I confirmed when I paid. To my surprise the worker began yelling at me infront of my friend and other customers refusing to correct my order. I yelled back that the large trio wrap and large beef wrap are almost the same price ($0.50 difference). I asked for the store manager and he said he is the manager. I had no choice, but to take the order and left. I have never been treated in such a rude manner before. Over $0.50 difference and a mistake on the worker's end I was yelled at and disrespected. I have been coming to shawarma palace for years. I have recommended it to all my friends and family. After today, I will NEVER eat from here and will NEVER recommend my friends and family to spend their money at a restaurant that treats the customer in such an ill manner. If anyone can provide me with the contact of the owner I would like to file a complaint against the worker I described...

Ok so this review is not only about the delicious food and great customer service they have but it's also about the high level of honesty I experienced with them. I was there with my wife and it was our first time visiting this place. We Ordered the food and when it was ready I took my wallet to pay. Everything was done, we enjoyed the delicious food and we went home. At home I realized that I have lost an evnolope in which I had some cash money. I looked everywhere but couldn't find it. Next day once I was done from work I called them just to find out if they have seen that envelope or not and guess what? The employee who was working today told me that yes I called the guy who did the closing last night, he has found your envelope and has put it somewhere safe with the money untouched. This is something we don't experience everywhere in this world. Specially with cash money. But employees here at shawarma palace have proved that honesty still exists.

Long black hair in food.. I have never felt so unwanted in a restaurant while ordering food..

I came in for takeout, and it was so awkward.. not even a hi or welcome.. Just no personality at all from any of the staff.. I tried to carry a conversation.. but it was so one-sided with zero response.. It was like they were all mad at the world and didn't want to see customers.. and had no interest in even being there..

This was my first experience, and sadly, my last as I was excited to try the food for the first time.. and was told by a friend it was good food..

Even though my in person experience was terrible.. I went home excited to try the food.. I was pleasantly surprised with the overall taste of the food.. but that was quickly interrupted by a long black hair that I pulled from my mouth.. needless to say, it wasn't a pleasant experience from...
