Good except for the part that wasn't ............ Food was quite good, and the servers were friendly. I had to drop a few stars though just like our server dropped a glass of diet pop on our table splashing both of us and breaking the glass. This in and of itself is not a huge deal. The mess was cleaned up and the drink replaced, there was however no gesture made by the restaurant to compensate for the loss of experience. When dinner for two hits $100.00 at a place like this I know they have room to do something in the way of an apology. I wasn't expecting anything extravagant but I do expect an effort to he made to acknowledge that something was off with the expected experience. The food was good, but not so good that I can't get just as good of a meal somewhere else. Service is what makes or breaks the experience. Good customer service isn't just about minimizing mistakes that are made, it's about how you react when things go wrong and tonight Mio failed to make it right, and so 2 stars rather than 5 for the sake of what realistically would have been a $4-5 dollar comp...
Read moreAbsolutely Terrible! Waited 1 hour 45 minutes to feed two adults and two kids. $92 dollar bill with no alcohol) With that said, things happen, I get it, but SHIRLEY was the worst server I have ever dealt with. When our meal was complete, with no acknowledgement of the HUGE wait, I expressed my concerns very politely. She completely ignored me! I said, again, "I know you have had a very busy time, but we are really disappointed that our food took almost 2 hours". She would not look at me and said WHAT EVER! I said, "goodness this is disappointing". Your food is always so good, but today I think we deserve an apology. Again she said WHATEVER! I then said, I think it appropriate that you apply a discount to our bill, she lowered the bill to $86.00 and said sarcastically, "your welcome". My 11 year old son that was at the till with me was speechless. He said to me "Mom, I am really sorry she treated you like that!" Thank goodness some kids are raised better. Shame on you SHIRLEY! I hope to see a response...
Read moreI can’t believe this place has been here for 11 years and I hadn’t heard of it till now. Immediately walking into the space, I was transported back to my vacation in Japan. The recent renovations are stunning, and beautifully represents Japanese culture. The menu has lots of variety, there’s definitely something for everyone. We shared a few different rolls, and some appetizers. The food was all delicious, and very fresh. I was most impressed with the Tempura batter. Portion sizes and prices were fair. The owner served our table, service was amazing, quick, and Ana took the time to talk to each table. I also love the music they have playing, it’s all quiet lofi vibes, and adds a nice ambiance. The environment of the restaurant is very tranquil and really brings the essence of Japan to Airdrie. Ana even offered to deliver food to my elderly grandfather who lives across the street, instead of him making the walk to come in. I will definitely be making the 50 minute drive from South Calgary to...
