Wendy's — Restaurant in Airdrie

I have never been treated so rudely in my lifetime or subjected to the embarrassment that I was by the on duty manager today named “ Kran Peter “!

I attended this location last approximately 4 months ago on our way travelling north to Edmonton as we usually do, well unfortunately at that visit our meals were not very good and I think they messed one or two up and the fries were on the colder side and soggy and they mixed up our drinks and it was just over all a bad experience, so I called them as we drove down the highway more and spoke with someone who said that we could come back and they would fix it but I informed them that we do not come through often but would next time we are in the area and the person I spoke with said they would be happy to replace our families meals at no cost.

Well, today we are travelling by that location so I decided to stop in… I explained my need to the lady taking orders and then a young man came out and was incredibly rude right off the bat, he informed me that he couldn’t find my name and he was carrying a binder and therefor needed proof that I wasn’t trying to “scam” and “get free food”… I was shocked, I have no proof and didn’t think I would need it but I told him I don’t know what to do… he was ruder and louder and even the other cutsormers around and my children who were present were all shocked by the treatment I was receiving, I told him I have plenty of money and am happy to pay for the food but I wanted his actual store managers name and contact information because the way I was just accosted by him was unacceptable and he walked away - after a while of me standing there totally confused he came back and gave me a piece of paper and told me to call me tomorrow and speak to the manager “Simar Jeed” and that if I wanted to pay I could have food but otherwise get out of his store if I’m just looking for free food - in front of other people and my children!!

I paid for our food no problem, and while we were filling up the drinks I had several customers come over and tell me that specific Wendy’s location is “the worst they’ve ever been too” another couple came over and told me “ the way he talked to you was absurd and we are never coming back here again”, I want to also note that even the other employees were giving me sympathetic looks from their stations.

I did not deserve to be accused, yelled at and insulted and I’m astonished that such a rude human being as “ Kran Peter” has been promoted to a shift leader/ manager.

We will never stop there on our travels again, and we have been doing so for years…

I highly suggest to everyone that happens to come across this review to save your money and go somewhere that you will get quality food and quality service and treated...

We stopped for take out, while driving back from Calgary. This is the first time I’ve visited this location. I hope they were just having an off night, because the food was terrible.

We ordered 2 baked potatoes with cheese sauce and bacon; an apple and pecan salad with NO cheese; and a small frosty.

Neither of the potatoes were cooked through; they were still firm inside. We put the potatoes in the microwave to cook them. There was only a tiny bit of cheese sauce and 2 small pieces of bacon. If someone orders a baked potato with topping, they want enough topping for the whole potato. The potatoes were terrible!

The salad (ordered WITHOUT cheese), had cheddar cheese on it. Normally, the apple peacan salad has blue cheese, so I don’t understand why they gave us a salad with cheddar. It was for someone with a dairy sensitivity, so the lady that ordered it, couldn’t eat it. I ate the salad, because my potato wasn’t edible. The chicken was dried out, like jerky.

The frosty came in a small plastic cup with a lid, on it and was only half full.

I hope this was just a bad night for Wendy’s, because nothing was...

Terrible customer service at this location, went through the drive through for lunch. As I got to the first window I paid, and she told me thank you etc and to go to the next window. I was then greeted saying I needed to pay again because my payment didn’t work, ok no harm I guess so I tapped my card again. And got my food. I decided to then park my car to make sure I wasn’t double charged and bingo not only did I pay for my meal I paid for someone else’s because I had two receipts for two orders that I paid for. I took my receipts inside to get my money back, and not only was I treated rudely but the lady at the cash tried to tell me that they just put the wrong receipt in my bag and would not listen to what actually happened. I then had to argue back and forth and also pull up my bank app to actually show them they charged me twice before they would even consider giving me a refund. Based on this I will never be back to this location and honestly maybe a Wendy’s either, was my closest lunch option to my work but honestly I’d rather just drive 5 mins and go somewhere else. Zero customer service...
