Pizza Nova — Restaurant in Ajax

While the food is usually good and the staff are always moderately friendly, there are a few suggestions to improve service and satisfaction. 1. My family enjoys spicy food and I request chilli flakes put in the sauce so it cooks with the heat. Every other pizza spot and even Pizza Nova locations accomodate it without hesistating. Each time at this location, i get a firm "NO, we don't do that, there are chilli flakes over there if you want." I do not want suraface level spice. I would like it baked into the pizza for a uniform heat-level. One person did it for me after explaining that one customer asked for it and then complained that it was too spicy after. That is fine but you don't dismiss every request because one person couldn't handle what they asked for. It is frustrating having to fight for something as simple as chilli flakes in the pizza. It does not get burnt nor are you a prestiged shop in the depths of Italy where you have the right to refuse a customization option. 2. Have a list of toppings visible so we dont have to ask each time we create a custom pizza. 3. While we're busy navigating chilli flakes and toppings, we forget we wanted more items. I suggest asking "is there anything else? Would you like dipping sauce or drinks?" before you rush to push the debit machine to tap. #4. We moved from Newmarket to Ajax and we have been ordering from Pizza Nova for over 5 years now, and the pizzas made in this location is absolutely terrible. They are very stingy with their toppings and the pizza is ALWAYS dry. Most of the time when we order we ask for extra pizza sauce so we don't end up with a dry pizza but yet the pizza makers also hold back on the pizza sauce. I ordered from this location 6 times so far but each time the quality of the pizza gets worse. I WILL NEVER order from here again. If you try pizzas from other Pizza Nova locations you will see the difference. We always pay more to get quality tasty pizza from Pizza Nova but this location does not deserve a penny from me. Ordered delivery and paid cash. Order came to $32.48 including the delivery fee. My wife gave the driver a $50 bill, and tells the guy to just give her back 10. (a tip of over $7..or around 22%). He says he left his wallet in the car and goes to get it.

Comes back with $6 and a bunch of 20s and says the last customer got all his change, so my wife - on the spot now - can either take back the $6 or send the guy back to the store for some change while we wait longer for our food.

I'm sorry, but that's not my problem if your driver can't carry change when the online order clearly said we were paying cash.

This guy scammed his way into an $11.52 (35%) tip.
