Sushi T&T — Restaurant in Ajax

Terrible experience. This is very unlike me to post a bad review but after my experience with Sushi T&T I feel as though it is necessary to help prevent some of you readers from wasting any of your time and money at this establishment. Its important that you know that myself, along with many of my closest friends and family frequently visited Sushi T&T when looking for a nice night of delicious sushi. On Wednesday July 26, 2018 myself and 3 of my close friends went to Sushi T&T. We arrived at around 6:30pm and were told to seat ourselves. Once seated, we were forced to wait approximately 15 minutes before we were greeted by any staff. After we were greeted by our waitress, we immediately began filling out our order sheet. After writing down our order, we were forced to wait another 15 minutes before our waitress came to grab out order sheet. After finally getting our order taken, my friends and I waited 75 minutes before our waitress returned asking us to fill out another order sheet. The reasoning as to why we were asked to fill out another order sheet is unknown, but we completed yet another order and had to personally go an hand it to our waitress to prevent us from having to wait again. This time we had to wait another 20 minutes before our first plate of food to arrive. In the countless times that we were left waiting, my friends and I watched multiple other guest arrive, order, and receive their food all before we received our first order. We also witnessed countless other guests who arrived at the same time as us leave in frustration. After finally receiving our first order of food, we were treated terrible by our waitress and were continuously missing food that we ordered for the rest of our stay. Overall, it was the worst dining experience that I have ever had. I would not recommend Sushi T&T to anyone. There is a Makimono 2 minutes away, so if craving sushi I highly recommend going there instead. Sushi T&T in Ajax is a fantastic spot that consistently delivers on quality and value, making it one of my go-to places for sushi in the area. Don't let the small size of the restaurant fool you – it's almost always bustling, which is a testament to its popularity and the delicious food they serve.

The quality of the food here is consistently excellent. The fish is always fresh, vibrant, and melts in your mouth. Their rolls are meticulously prepared, and you can tell they use good ingredients. Whether I'm ordering sashimi, a classic California roll, or one of their more unique specialty rolls, I'm always impressed. Everything tastes authentic and well-crafted.

Now, for the "but" – the time it takes to get your food can sometimes be a significant downside. Because they are so busy, especially during peak hours, there can be a considerable wait for your order. This applies whether you're dining in or ordering for takeout. It's clear they are working hard, but the demand often outstrips their capacity, leading to longer wait times. If you're in a rush, this might not be the place for you. However, if you plan accordingly and aren't in a hurry, the wait is definitely worth it for the delicious food.

Well that was disappointing!! The food was great, the service abysmal! The server thought we couldn’t be trusted to have a party of ”3 sit at the same table and have 2 of us ordering all you can eat, and the third person ordering seperately from the menu.”So in turn insisted my husband sit at a different table, which he did not take kindly to doing but of course did. He was close enough that we could still converse but really, we felt like we were children that were being chastised. We ordered our food, and there were so many items that were ordered that just never made it to the table. What did get tossed on the table was really good but the server couldn’t have been any less cordial. As we were getting close to being done the restaurant began to get busier, and a staff member who had been helping serve some tables came over and said to my husband “ ok you need to move back there now because we need the table” he was dumbfounded, got up walked over to the cash, paid and told us he wasn’t staying and went and sat in the car. He was not impressed!!! It was really poor conduct on their part, they did not handle things very kindly or professionally. We went over to the cash, paid our bill and left. I did not tip the rude lady. I found out once I got to the car that neither did my husband.
