Firehouse Subs Okotoks — Restaurant in Alberta

We had Firehouse Subs for the first time this weekend. We don't eat take out often because our son has milk allergies, so it takes a lot of mental effort to keep everything separate to avoid cross-contamination etc. My husband and I were happy with our subs - they were tasty! - but our daughter got the kids grilled cheese and it was awful. It was greasy, undercooked, not even browned on the outsides, and she barely ate any of it. I ended up making her a grilled cheese at home using our dairy-free cheese (which she doesn't even like) and she ate it instead - the grilled cheese from Firehouse was that bad. Grilled cheese are one of her favourite foods and she hasn't had them often since our son was diagnosed with his allergies, so she was really excited for this and it was very disappointing. When we reached out to Firehouse Subs the response we received was lackluster - no attempts to rectify the situation were made. So we give it 3 stars because our subs alone would be a 4 or a 5, but the grilled cheese was a 1 and their response to our concern about the grilled cheese was a 2 (because at least they responded I guess). 5 star to a 3 today. I'm all for people hiring younger staff because a lot of people don't want those types of jobs but I also find the younger staff lack customer service or personality. I just watch them have really poor work ethic as well. They made the wrong sub so I had to go back in and wait another 15 minutes for them to make the right sub. I kindly asked if she could give me a couple extra pickles for the wait time and she literally threw two into my container. No apology. Just rudeness. I was here 3 weeks ago, and staff were all speaking so loudly in their Filipino language. I don't even know if they knew I was inside eating....

Subs are delicous, but dont think ill come to this location again.

I've been to Airdrie and Okotoks, and counting down the days until Mahogany opens. You will definitely have a loyal customer. This has been my favorite sandwich, for taste, that I have found. No one compares whatsoever. Hopefully you'll make a Beef dip? Delicois Au Jus!!? Maybe a spicy Chicken with Ranch, Cheddar, Lettuce...
