Matt's Pizza — Restaurant in Alberta

Normally a very good pizza place in town. I used to order regularly from them. They had great service, always very accommodating and friendly.

Until today, when I had placed a web delivery order for some fries and ice cream, asking that the fries be crispy. Then I get the customary call to confirm the order and told that if I am able to walk to the store and pick it up they will make the order, otherwise they will refuse the order as they cannot assure that the fries will be crispy as asked.

Now, I have worked in kitchens/restaurants for over ten years, and during that time I have also worked as a delivery driver. During that time I have had to ensure not just crispy fries upon delivery of an order, but properly cooked steak, quail, goose, duck, etc. Never was I able to refuse an order because a customer wanted it cooked to their liking, in my experience that's what working in a kitchen is all about. Taking care of the customer. If you refused to cater to the customer, you lost your job!

Not only that, but after having been a regular customer and spending way more than I should on pizza (sometimes in excess of $150.00 a week!) that was not complaining, just simply asking for my food to be cooked to my liking I'm still refused.

So I get the owners phone number and call them to hopefully get this matter sorted out and get my food. After explaining the situation to them they contact the store, as they were not at the location, and that they would call me back in 5 minutes. So I wait, 5 minutes goes by, then 10, then 20. Still no phone call, not only can the owners not follow through on their word, they just swept the problem under the rug in what seems to be an attempt at hoping that the problem would fix itself!!

In closing I would like to say this, no longer will I be taking my business there, nor will I recommend it as a good place to eat. Personally im appalled at how they treat their regular customers, considering that they are the ones helping to keep the business going. If it were possible to post a review with 0/5 stars I would, but unfortunately I have to give it some sort...

Amazingly good. The slushes there are AMAZING! The ice cream? EXCELLENT! The donairs with cheese? A 10/10! The rest of the food? KILLER! All in all the best place intown. Amazing prices and amazing food. The service is great and very friendly people. You can get food in 15 minutes. Amazing. You can have amazing food or go somewhere else where your money...

Phoned for a delivery order. 1hour later called to see where it was. I guess their fryer was not working but they never called me to let me know this.
