I usually never leave negative reviews but my experience here was honestly shocking. First of all there was two waitresses, both running around frantically almost, and it was not very busy in the restaurant, like 3-4 tables. They could not answer any of our very basic questions about menu items, they didnโ€™t even know which soda drinks they had, and they had no idea what came with any of the menu items, how many pieces, what type of noodles etc. So then we ordered two Miso soups to start, and they came out COLD, I have no idea how, as the bowls were cold too, it was very obvious. We also ordered waters, and the waitress forgot about them, we had to remind her after 20 minutes of waiting for them. We almost just got up to leave as it was taking a while and we were confused and shocked by the service. I previously worked as a waitress and hostess, and I have never witnessed anything like this before, even from people on their first day as a waitress. Wanted to put this out there for the owners and anyone wanting to dine in here. It appeared they had zero training at all and it was their first day, with no management present. I know they were busy with take-out orders too, but they could have had one person on the phone/orders, and one person on the...

We popped in for a quick dinner. I had the spicy ramen and my partner had veggie tempura.

The spicy ramen appeared to be the tonkotsu ramen with a bit of chili oil or chopped chili. It was tasty enough but not something I would line up for. The sliced pork tasted a bit like it was trying to be chashu but didn't really pull it off. There were a couple spinach leaves for color I guess but would have appreciated more vegetables, spinach or corn. The soft boiled egg was also good but not marinated as is traditional. Finally, for $16, I was still hungry after having this smallish bowl of ramen. So I ordered a plate of gyoza which were very hot and tasty but there was literally a teaspoon of dipping sauce which I'd consumed with the second gyoza. I ended up using the leftover dipping sauce from my partners tempura which I actually found was quite fishy in flavor. I'm not sure if fish sauce is a normal ingredient in tempura dipping sauce.

Other than the dipping sauce, the tempura was nice and hot and crispy and a good portion.

Overall, we'll be back but I don't think the ramen was good value and I'll try...

If you're in Olds and looking for truly outstanding Asian cuisine, you absolutely must visit Mr. Bowl and Sushi. This place is a hidden gem that delivers on every front, deserving every bit of its five-star rating. The sushi is incredibly freshโ€”the fish melts in your mouth, and the rolls are constructed perfectly, never falling apart. We especially loved the specialty rolls; they were inventive and packed with flavor. Beyond the sushi, the rice bowls are fantastic. The portions are generous, and the ingredients are high quality, whether you choose a classic Teriyaki or a fresh Poke bowl. The staff are consistently friendly, attentive, and clearly take pride in their work, which makes the whole dining experience delightful. The restaurant itself is clean and cozy. Itโ€™s perfect for a quick, delicious lunch or a relaxed dinner. Great value for the exceptional quality of food you receive. Highly,...

Good value sushi tray platters and lunch bento boxes. My favourite item is the cream cheese salmon roll. Salmon is fresh. Portion sizes have gone down slightly, which is very understandable with the higher food and packaging costs as of late. A popular place for the college students, dropped by on Saturday around 5pm ish and it was decently busy. Very grateful to have a solid sushi option in rural Alberta, thank you!

The town of Olds is very fortunate to have such a great little Japanese/Korean restaurant. If you look at my other reviews you will see that I know my Japanese food and this was a great bento style lunch. All ingredients were fresh and delicious. The food cam out promptly and had an authentic taste. The sushi rice was done just right. This is a great little place that is worth the drive to Olds just to experience.
