Tasty Thai — Restaurant in Alberta

You’d never think the best Thai food in Alberta is in Olds…. But it is. The unassuming western wear and saddle shop next door doesn’t give you the vibe of Chiang Mai or Bangkok, but the food is every bit authentic with an approachability you don’t get anywhere else. The staff is friendly, considerate and informed. We showed up outside of regular business hours and the owners gladly opened up to feed us (we felt very honoured they gave up their time for us; would not recommend… they deserve their break). The yellow curry is phenomenal, the fried chicken divine. The coconut rice perfection. Price is cheap, servings are more than healthy sized. Please visit. A gem and worthy of your dollars...

I brought my wife and father-in-law here and enjoyed the most amazing meal and hospitality. This is Thai food with a flavor kick! No bland food here.... unless you want it, as they will tailor every dish to your tastes. My wife had the lemongrass chicken, which was very aromatic - just delicious! I had the spicy noodles with chicken - very happy to see them using the wide rice noodles, which are my favorite. The portions are generous so pack an appetite. We also enjoyed the crab won-tons - crab with cream cheese and a very interesting lemon sauce. And the salad rolls were also huge, with fresh crispy greens and aromatic basil as a taste treat. Fantastic! From a little storefront in a small prairie town comes the most fragrant, delicious, freshly prepared Thai cuisine 😃 Soups are delicious with lots of "stuff", just enough heat to bring out all the flavours and have you reaching for your ice cold Singha beer. Fresh made papaya salad was zingy and crisp, the perfect way to refresh your palate. The Pad Thai was hands down the best I have ever had, this alone was well worth the hour we drove to get there.
