Stayed at the hotel and ate dinner at Just Jacks three nights in a row. The first night (Saturday), the meal was excellent and our only complaint was the main course arriving before our appetizers were finished (which happened all 3 nights). Sunday night was good until we ordered dessert. It took almost an hour between ordering three desserts and receiving the first two desserts with no waitress in sight for 45 minutes after taking the order. The third dessert (a brownie with a scoop of ice cream) arrived 20 minutes after the other two when everyone else was finished eating and was comped. We decided to try again a third night. Three of the four ordered appetizers arrived and again we couldn't find a waitress to inquire about the missing salad until the other appetizers were finished. The salad was clearly ordered as "I'll start with ... then have x for my entree". The waitress claimed she thought both plates were to come together as mains although given the plate sizes common sense would indicate they wouldn't both fit simultaneously. One of our party ordered the perogies and bratwurst. The brats were so burnt and dry, they were inedible ( and very hard to cut with a steak knife). They offered to discount them from the order without batting an eye. Why would they even serve food so obviously burnt? Very disappointing after the great first night. Clearly service depends on who is on shift. Need to work on timing and quality control. Wait staff should check if patrons need anything else when serving food. We thought they were going back for remaining items and they disappeared for...
Read moreWe called to place a food order at Just Jacks as we were staying at the hotel...my experience
They were out of 2 out of 6 items we wanted. Apparently the stuffed balsamic chicken and ginger beef was unavailable due to Covid...which makes me believe they bring in their food pre-made because both those items are extremely easy to make and they still had chicken and beef on the menu, which was available. They were unable to deliver the food to our room...ie no room service i guess I went downstairs to pick up my food...there were four tables in the entire place (yes I counted) and I waited at the door for 5min before the bartender came over. I paid the bill and asked the bartender to provide me with lots of ketchup as I have 4 kids. I got my order and went upstairs... 4.1 they missed the chicken for the chicken caesar salad...wow... 4.2 provided me with 5 little ketchup packages....i guess 1 more than the kids I have is considered lots. 4.3 I substituted my fries for onion rings for an extra $3....i got 5 onion rings....ripoff
Nothing special about the food...it tastes like every other restaurant food that prepares pre made and frozen food...4 kids 2 adults...$110.00 + $15 tip = $125....honestly not worth the money...save your money and go...
Read moreCame in to town for a wedding and needed to feed the family for dinner. We ordered chicken fingers and fries, a burger and fries and a seafood pasta. Firstly the fries are from a no name bag, they are tiny crinkle cuts. I dont even know how a place can sell them with a straight face. The fingers for the kids were tiny and over cooked .... we even ordered the adult sized portion and my kids hated it. My wifes seafood pasta was almost 24 bucks... it consisted of overcooked pasta, over cooked seafood and some of the seaffod was off and she could not even eat it. Cost of the bill was ALMOST 70 DOLLARS!!!! The only good part.of the meal was a handmade burger patty. Yes, is was half the size of the bun but at least it tasted good. That is where the one star came from If that wasnt there ot would be zero (if i was even able to do it)
Moral of the story ...... if you are in town dont waste your money here like i did. The place is a joke when it comes to food and they are using the cheapest ingredients they can find and charging real...
