OL'BERTA — Restaurant in Alberta

First time and I have no intention to go back. The food was not good. Out of the 4 meals ordered, only 1 person liked theirs.

Most of the food was bland, no flavour. The steak was bland and over cooked, the “garlic“ shrimp was bland, fries were bland, an entire stir fry dish was bland and came with way too much sauce, it was close to being a soup. The vegetables in the stir fry were over cooked and it came with a sad amount of rice. Super small dish at a high price.

Incredibly disappointed with the food and its worse knowing the price tag it came with. looking at the menu I thought the prices were great for what you are getting but now that I had a taste of the food, the quality is too low to be priced that high.

This place has such high ratings we thought it was worth a try, went in there and we even struggled to order because the menu has such a good selection. It was hard to choose 1 thing when so many things sounded so good.

I'm very saddened to hear that the cook at The International Grill no longer supports their guests with gluten allergies and intolerances. They used to have everything separated so that there was minimal risk of cross contamination. We recently went in to enjoy a meal with my parents who are there 3 times a week. When they returned from their much deserved holiday, they couldn't enjoy a meal because extra precautions weren't going to be taken to ensure they don't get sick.

The manager belittled and undermined the information our server was provided to his server in front of us as we were paying, the mentality that it's okay to tell your guests the server is wrong and embarassing her in front of guests is truly disgusting.

I highly recommend to the restaurant to continue to offer Gluten Free options in a safe and cross contamination free manner. Please also train and educate your staff about the importance of maintaining gluten free stations in your restaurant. You can seriously affect someone...

The atmosphere was amazing. I had had high hopes walking in but that is where the good ends. We gave our order to the lovely young waitress twice, as there was some kind of mix up. Our order took forever for part of it to be delivered, understandable for the size of our group; However, the food was subpar at best. The steaks were wafer thin with no seasoning whatsoever. The veggies were mushy and the fries cold. I sent my steak back twice, as did most people at the table, as they were not cooked as ordered, but at least we got something. Three people at the table got nothing even after reiterating their order several times with two different staff members. We ended up walking out without eating as the kitchen could not get their act together. The best part of the experience is that one person in our group ordered Fettuccini Alfredo as he didn't think they could screw that up too badly. He regretted his choice as he ended up with food poisoning!!! Don't chance it,...
