Pizza Haven — Restaurant in Altona

I use to love this place until all the butter chicken eaters decided that they want takeover. Now, the food was alright the pizza could have a bit more cheese and less sauce, overall the pizza is fine. But, let’s talk about the fries those suckers where MOIST who like moist fries, and the gravy tasted like poop. Like come on guys. Let’s talk about the service. First can’t understand a word they say so when they talk you just laugh and hope they said a joke. Also when me and bro are trying to talk about gains and gettin ripped, one of the workers decide it’s a good time to start vacuuming and totally interrupts us, like bro come on. Also apparently now days is good to mop the rug I guess I should start doing that too. Overall it was not a great experience. This place is is not as good as it used to be. Placed an order for pu and he said ready in 10 minutes. I thought I had heard wrong, but yes it was ready in 10 minutes. Unbelievable! Love the sauce and crust. Sauce is similar taste to Bostons. Crust was not quite done so popped it into air fryer and nicely crisped it up. Interesting we ordered pizza half and half with different toppings, two on each side, and we were charged for four toppings. In all my 50 years of ordering half n half, this has never happened as everyone only charges for two toppings. I ordered some a cup of tea and a poutine and it was $13, which isnt terrible but it's a little more than I'd like to spend on fries and hot water. The server was quiet but very nice and checked up on me.

The food: I ordered a poutine. The fries were fine, you cant really mess that up. The cheese wasnt in curds, it was just some shredded mozzarella cheese that was barely melted. They put gross little, rock hard, pieces of bacon dumped over top my plate. The gravy was the worst ever. It was a very dark brownish black color and tasted old and grainy.
