Surprised how good it was - You should try em. The wife decided she wanted to try a Amherst restaurant - She chose at random and we went to Duncan's Pub - We were both Pleasantly surprised. We had the deep fried pickles to start - Generally you see restaurants having these soggy pickles. Not these ones. Warm and crispy on the outside, Juicey and delicious on the inside. The dipping sauce that came with them was... Being honest, i can't remember it. Drink - We had a pitcher of their sangria. - It wasn't over wined, or over juiced - Not to much ice or random fruit slipping into your cup. Worth the money Food - Now...The wife made the better choice - Not saying mine was bad, Lord no. My Food was good. Wife: Lobster Mac/Cheese - Damn, was this good, just the right cheesiness and lobster mixed it- Best comfort food ever - Wife only let me steal three bites at the table and yelled at me the next day for eating a third of the left overs. :) - Wife's complaint was it could have had more lobster. Me: 2 Piece Fish and chips - No complaints. Coleslaw was good, fries were good, Tarter sauce was good and fish was great too. - The first wasn't overcooked, the batter covering it was not overly greasy. When you order fish and chips you expect some down side, but this is just a solid 2 piece dinner. Crispy and delicious.

Had family visiting and decided to go out for supper on their last night here. The day previous we had gone to another restaurant to which we unfortunately had a bad experience so we didn’t have high expectations. I called Duncan’s in advance to ensure they had room and to ask if they were accessible, the young woman who answered was polite and offered to reserve a table near the door when I explained my grandmother was not mobile and in a chair. We arrived to a table with a spot for my grandmother set up for us right next to the door. We were seated and given drinks immediately. We constantly had someone checking on us despite them having other customers dining and at the bar. The young waitress was kind and exchanged a few friendly jokes. She also apologized about the wait time and explained they were training a new cook. We never would’ve guessed, the food was delicious. This was exactly the experience we needed to end the trip. We will be back and thank you girls for being so friendly welcoming !

We came in a party of 5 with reservations for 6:30pm. My friends like this place and come regularly.

The special was Scallops, bacon and asparagus pasta in a white sauce. It came with 4 scallops on top of medium size and alfredo sauce pasta that was very basic but ok, with maybe a couple of very small bacon bits. I ate half of the plate. Another person in my party order the same and had a similar experience.

I relayed my dissatisfaction on the meal to my our server, a young lady in her twenties, and I received a curt response that 4 scallops was the expected amount and that bacon was in there. She did nothing further and promptly brought us our bill for $155 before tax and tip. My friend was paying and he felt obligated to tip because 2 in our party were regulars and he didn't want them slighted in the future. No discount or accommodation was offered. I left feeling that I will likely never return and somewhat disappointed because the place has a certain charm and the others seemed happy with their fish and chips and club and fries. It is too bad, because I...
