Pizza Delight — Restaurant in Amherst

On Monday Feb 21 we came in with a table of four and my toddler. We waited an hour from the time we ordered before any food came out. One of the mains was cold but we didn't bother to complain because we had waited so long already and it was past closing. Another of our mains wasn't served with the side because " the chicken didn't cook the first time so we need to cook it a second time." When we were seated I noticed two people waiting for take out. One didn't receive her take out order until about when we got our food and the other was just getting his ONE Pizza order when we left. That means both of them were there over an hour for take out. There seemed to us to be five tables in the whole place with customers between the front and back of the restaurant. My mother in law treated us and I am upset she spent so much money for such a disappointing experience.

The only saving grace of the experience was our server Rebecca. She was very sweet to us and did her best with what was handed to her. She was very sweet to our young son and talked to him every time he talked to her.

I do not complain about restaurants usually but this was a bit of a ridiculous experience. It clearly wasn't just us having a bad experience either. Don't know if there was a staff shortage or if someone needs to learn their job but I figured the owner should know.

I recently dined at an outstanding pizza restaurant that left me thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the exceptional service stood out. Food was absolutely amazing except for coffee we could not drink it was so strong, but unfortunately with a service like that, we will not be back. We got there at 7 and i guess they closed at 8, we definitely could tell the waitress wanted us out ASAP and she made us feel uncomfortable. Coming every 5 minutes to ask a question such as are you guys going to want pop as i need to wash the pop machine as we are closing, are you guys having hot deserts as the kitchen want to clean the oven,because we are closing... these questions did not end until we left at 755 when she came to say your bill is at the front counter...guess we got the message. Not only did we feel rushed out, this person was not very friendly and our order was all wrong. When i asked about the fact that we requested stuffed crust and didnt get the answer was yes i know, i meant to tell you they were so focused on getting the onions right that they forgot the stuffed crust but we wont charge you! Such great service! We are very disappointed, we drove an hour to visit this location and was the last time. I will take other measures to be heard as this is simply unacceptable!
