Pita Pit — Restaurant in Antigonish

Slowest pita pit I've ever been to. The staff are not well trained and understaffed. We spent the first 10 minutes watching the two of them try and figure out how to use the cash register because they redeemed someone's points but couldn't apply the actual discount. They ended up charging her fill price and taking her contact info to call her after they call her office when it opens during the week. Then they took our order but we're extremely inefficient putting things in the grill. When it came to making the actual pita the lady had attitude like she clearly didn't want to be there and was extremely stingy with ingredients. My pita was very small in the end. I looooove Pita Pit! The staff are great, service is fast, and I am super appreciative of their variety of veggies (good vegan fast food is hard to find!) My only gripe is the amount of cross contamination that goes on with the cheese. Half the time (at most locations) my pita is dragged through spilled cheese, or I watch cheese spill into other containers. Anytime I have asked them if they would wipe the cheese off the preparation area they are totally understanding but sometimes I don't notice until it's too late. July 2019 - great food, fast friendly service. All adult meals were great. I had to take away one star due to the kids meal. It was good, but my kid didnt like the cheese due to it being extra old cheddar(type) and it was not melted making the sandwich extremely dry.
