Lakeside Beach Club — Restaurant in Area H (Cultus Lake/Columbia Valley)

So we came here because of the good google reviews, and I rarely leave bad reviews but this place was terrible on many levels.

First, the table had loose screws so every time anyone even bumped it a little everyone's drinks spilled. Buy a screwdriver guys.

Second, the food wasn't great. The fryer oil clearly hadn't been changed in too long as the fish and chips tasted off and clearly weren't the right colour. When my mom asked the waitress if the oil was old she told us no it was changed every night, which no restaurant in the world does.

Third, the service was TERRIBLE. They completely missed one of our orders and took 30 minutes to fix it. All the food took a long time despite the place being less than half full. Our waitress barely touched the table. We finished a full bottle of wine before the entrees arrived and had to wait another 15 minutes for the second bottle to arrive. Then finally after an hour and a half I asked for the cheque. The waitress brought it and asked if I need the machine which I did and said so immediately. Ten minutes later and no machine, so I walked to the front and asked to pay there.

At this point the waitress asked why I was upset and I just asked to pay and leave.

Now I can't even tell you the last time I didn't tip, but this was beyond and yes this was a zero tip occassion.

When the waitress saw this she told me that she wished I would have brought my concerns to her attention sooner, to which I replied if you had bothered to come by our table I certainly would have.

My good friend, sister and I went for dinner here last night. First off we decided to wait because the place looks very nice and impressive and thought the experience would worth the wait. Sadly that was not the case, first off the good. My drink was tasty (watermelon mojito) and when the food was served it was hot. That’s where the positive ends. My buddy and my sister both got caesars and they both couldn’t finish them not enjoying them and saying they were less than mediocre if not bad entirely. Then the wait for food began. We were seated a little bit before 7. Our food didn’t come until roughly quarter after 8. The food wasn’t so good either sadly my friend could only manage to eat less than a quarter of his jambalaya I was more hungry than him and got threw about half of it however it didn’t taste good, but after waiting so long the idea of sending it back after than wait. Finally the pizza thing my sister order she wasn’t very impressed with hers either and didn’t finish it either. I told our server when I got the bill and she apologized but didn’t seem to care. My friend was very apologetic about the place and told me he wouldn’t be coming here again as he recently moved to the area. And felt responsible for the bad choice in his new back yard so to speak.

On conclusion the high prices they charge for less than good food will mean I can’t recommend them to anyone instead will steer people away and I’m very doubtful that I will return to give them...

Extremely disaffected and disappointed by this establishment. Decided to pop by for lunch at 12:45pm on a Saturday afternoon. Ample free parking in the parkade. For a group of six, we were seated promptly and our server got us water as well.

The experience went downhill after we ordered. We waited over an hour for our food to be served after ordering and to me, this was completely unacceptable because the restaurant wasn’t full and we were just ordering burgers and sandwiches.

Onto the food - perhaps a 2/5. The ahi tuna sandwich ($17) was fine. There was not a lot of tuna in it and it was quite saucy but I was starving at this point. It came with a side and chose the Caesar salad. It was almost inedible because of way too much dressing. But one of the worst part of the meal while eating was the flies! Oh god, they’re everywhere and we were unable to even enjoy our meal without swatting every minute.

The worst part after eating was getting our bills. Our server was either no where to be found or was completely ignoring our table. We tried to flag her multiple times and she seemed to purposefully take another route to avoid us. After waiting another half hour we decided to flag another host to call our server over. We were completely disappointed by the poor customer service.
