We love getting recommendations for places to eat from YOU! Thank you @Birdie1026 Watch the full Armstrong food guide at link in bio. 📍 The Clove 3495 Okanagan Street Armstrong, British Columbia It was so special to discover The Clove where you can watch the trains roll by on the tracks directly outside the building. This building was built in 1893 replacing a previous hotel that burned down. This is what I love about road trips and small town Canada. Discovering little pieces of history - not torn down - but retrofitted and reused to make something special like this restaurant. My husband is a red seal chef who has worked in all aspects of the food industry all across Canada and we rarely are blown away by the food. He ordered the beef tacos and I ordered the fried chicken sandwhich ( no idea why, I usually hate fried chicken , I find it is dry) Everything was delicious to say the least. Perfectly cooked. The parm fries are to die for and he had the spicy fries which were not overly spicy. The cilantro lime dip the tacos come with were my fav to dip fries in. When our server talked about desert we were already so full but decided to try their pie and cobbler and although felt like we needed to roll ourselves out it was all soooo worth it. We have less than 5 places we enjoy between salmon arm and Vernon, Really find the okanagan lacks in the food industry but The Clove is now at the top of our list for favourite restaurant. We expect this level in large cities not in the little town of Armstrong. We will be back and recommend everyone tries this gem of a place.

If you are not stopping here on your way to/from Vernon - what are you even doing? This place is where you go when you want to experience what the true meaning of "restaurant quality meal" is. The Clove will give you a so much needed perspective - just because you went out to eat at some place does not mean that you are getting restaurat quality. Every dish we tried here - we could feel that's it's fresh, made to order, there are a lot of well-balanced ingredients that form an amazing flavour. You can tell that their chefs (there are two) do CARE about the quality of food they put out. The "if you know - you know" type thing - they have cloth napkins. That tells you a lot already. It's rare that I get a meal that would actually improve my mood for the day. This one did. This place provides you with a high level experience while not being pretentious and actually having a very chill and cozy atmosphere. Visit to The Clove is a MUST. Make that 20 minute drive from Vernon, its worth it.

Wow!! What an amazing place for a little town like Armstrong to have!! My husband and I, at the last moment , finally decided to come and try this fantastic restaurant we kept hearing about since they first opened their doors in March ( it's now June). So glad we did! We have travelled extensively all over the Interior and the Coast and had some fabulous meals in some awesome restaurants but the Clove is now one of our favorite ones! From the moment we walked in the door and was greeted warmly by Autumn ( one of our favorite servers from another local establishment in the area whom we had not seen in over a year) and promptly shown to a table, even though we didn't have a reservation. Our server was fantastic and attentive and gave some awesome suggestions ( which we took her up on) and we even had the pleasure of meeting the spectacular chef! The pickled caeser cocktail and the Irish Lemonade was very tasty. My mushroom soup was one of the best I ever had! My husband had the roast beef dinner and it was spot on! The horseradish cream that came with it was the very best I ever tasted ( I don't normally like horseradish; however this was so subtle, I literally licked the container clean that it came in!). The stuffed meatballs were so tasty and the desserts were to die for! Can't wait to bring our family and friends here to share the joy of this...

My wife and I went to the Clove to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. We came up from Nakusp and had planned on coming here from the beginning, as the menu and reviews looked great.

We called ahead to make sure we got a table and the customer service over the phone was polite and concise. We arrived and immediately loved the decor and the vibe. The owner and server greeted us right away and had us seated within seconds. We had the Warm Beet sandwich and Clove burger. We LOVED the food, which was only surpassed by the friendly and inviting service we recieved. We finished the meal off with an amazing dessert platter to help celebrate the occasion with and it was super tasty.

The custom Halloween art on the walls that was done by the chef's mother really tied everything together along with the tasteful spooky touches throughout. The Clove was clean, presentation of food was nice and we felt comfortable there. Everything was reasonably priced and great value for the high quality that came out. We will definitely come back and highly recommend that you check it out.

Thanks for the great dining...
