I do not live in Armstrong, but I have a friend in Armstrong whose family member passed away recently. I wanted to do something for the family but I am so far away it seemed that anything I could send myself would take a long time to get there. I remembered visiting The Wild Oak Cafe and thinking it was great, and I knew my friend liked it as well so I contacted them to see if they could help me. Specifically I wanted food delivered to their home. Quickly I received a message back on messenger that they would be open to helping with this unusual request and some options for me to consider. They were so awesome. They put together food for this family in one day, were reasonable with their prices and had the food delivered one day after I had made this unusual request. The food looked amazing and the customer service was the definition of "above and beyond" I am so grateful to them and would highly recommend them for your next visit...

Great pastries too. After a small chat with the owner I learned they do it for the community, which is lovely. Just enough bustle of other customers to give it "all the vibes". Check out the sweet, quiet, sunny patio out the back. Will be back, tomorrow most...
Read moreThis place was the perfect refuge after a hectic morning of running errands while toting young children around. We found our way to a cozy and quiet corner in the back where the toys and books were waiting for eager little hands after being confined to strollers and car seats all day. Meanwhile I peacefully enjoyed a warm coffee while we waited for our lunch. The atmosphere is fresh with natural materials, wood and painted white walls - not overly adorned- with the locally-made paintings that were mounted for sale. We were welcomed from what was a very blustery day outside by soft seating, cushions, wool blankets and sturdy wooden tables. The place is rustic and contemporary chic with a menu of nourishing homemade items and baked goods to match. An ideal spot to nestle in with a book and a hot drink or meet up on mommy dates with...
