Wes' Chips — Restaurant in Arnprior

Visited not to long ago. Place was pretty busy. Well I was waiting I noticed that they were giving there customers there fries to add toppings half way through and then would take them back to top up the rest of the fries. I couldn't help notice how dirty some of the peoples hands were. This can not be sanitary. I know most food establishments once it leaves or goes over the counter it is not allowed back. I will not eat here again with this happening.

Response to owner: most food trucks offer condiments half way that is not something special you do. The fact you take it back into the establishment after the customer has touched it then your staff have to touch the box again transmitting whatever is now on the box into your establishment I believe is against the health code violation. Once it leaves it should be gone for good. just put the condiments on yourself. How many people do you see not wash there hands after using the public bathroom every week. I...

This isn't your typical fry wagon which tends to have fries as well as other things like hot dogs or poutine. It's literally just fries in varying sizes.

The fries are not good. I don't know what to say about all these other reviews but like that one lady said, have you guys even eaten fries at other places? These are not worth writing about, talking about or stopping for. Just go to literally any other place. I am sure it will be better.

The staff is pleasant and it is quite helpful that they allow you to add ketchup, etc when the container is half full and then top it off with the remaining serving of fries. The eating area is clean with lots of shade. There are signs everywhere which say "do not feed the birds" - good advice both to prevent antagonistic birds for future guests and I am sure terrible for a bird's digestive system. Still, I feel like the bird would spit it out because it's just not good...

Wes' Chips have been a staple of Arnpror for many years. Plenty of parking. Have been here on multiple occasions and the chips are delicious. Today I was a bit disappointed as usually you get long cut fries, but in my med fry order it looked like they were all half size, so was not pleased. Guess this can happen from time to time. Thus the 4 stars. You have to put your own salt and vinegar on, and they stopped adding the half way salt and vinegar due to the pandemic. Other than that it's worth the trip to get some delicious chips. They do not have poutine, just chips and soft...
