I'm pretty sure BP made me sick. Skip down to ** for the story but heres the context:
I've enjoyed BP in the past (when I could enjoy the food hot in store in the past it was good). Some restaurants have adapted well to the pandemic, but I do not recommend ordering from BP as the last few times my family has tried, things arrive overdone and drier than I remember them being when i ordered in the past (especially pizzas, sad to say because we had a few favourites that just arent the same when we've tried ordering them through takeout).
However, that is not why my review is so low today. My family ordered from the Aurora location Saturday night. I ordered a salmon power bowl. The salmon was way dry and overcooked, but again that was excusable. The spinach was browning and slimy, the grape tomatoes were warm and moist (very unripe), the peppers were soft and not crunchy, and the beets were dripping moist.
It was late and that was the only thing I had to eat (if I was in the restaurant I absolutely would have sent it back, but that's not so easy when you're trying to stay distant and its takeout) so against my better judgment, I ate it. In the days since, I have been paying for my choice. To put it mildly and in an attempt to not be too explicit, I have been "loose" ever since and experiencing a burning sensation, too, to boot. Short version: I would skip Boston Pizza until you can go back and eat in store. Something is missing in their quality department for their takeout. Learn...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have been going to Boston pizza for many many years and it is always because the kids want to go. With the kids free card, we probably go at least 8 to 10 times a year. This location used to be great, but they don't seem consistent in how they apply their policies.
My son orders off the kids menu and always looks forward to the ice cream at the end. He doesn't like the toppings mixed together, so we have always asked for the topping on the side. The last time we went, they told us it was policy that only 2 toppings on the side for the ice cream! Since when? Never has this issue at this location or any other locations. Seems to be only the owner who has this rules.
We paid full price for two adult meals and use the kids card for the one kids meal, and I also used a BP reward for a free individual pizza. After we received our bill, they told us the BP rewards couldn't be used with the kids card even though we used both the month before at the same location without any issues.
They said the kids card can't be used with any other promotion, again never had a problem before. Right now, they have a promo that if you buy a $50 gift card you get a $10 promotional card... I was going to buy it, but based on what they say, you can't use the promo card with the kids card.
It definitely was not a fun experience for us or my son. There are enough BP locations elsewhere. We won't be going back to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I really enjoy Boston Pizza but unfortunately I have nothing but disappointing experiences in the last few months at this location. Last night I visited again just for the fact that itās closest location to us. Last nights service was sooooooo terrible by our male waiter yet I gave him a tip. He didnāt deserve one at all, he was incredibly unfriendly, he hardly checked in on us and we wanted refillsā¦.and neglected to bring that. He must have hated children because he seemed to avoid our table didnāt have a smile and seemed almost impatient with us for needed some time to order. Iāve never met someone in the service industry that looked like they hated being there. I would have honestly preferred a robot. The food here at this location the last 2 times I went was very mediocre and the previous time we visited my son was served meatballs that were still frozen in the middle. Iāve been to other Boston Pizza locations and their food is sooo much better. I will definitely not visit the Aurora location again although itās...
