Okay. Man I hate slamming local businesses, but sometimes you have to and hopefully the feedback can better things.
They ran out of pickle chips. If you run out of something, you proactively compensate on the spot. They did not. I got my order and at the end and they gave me some free fries (more on the fries below; tried one and they were firmly deposited into the green bin).
$75 for 4 burgers and 3 fries. No drinks. I don’t mind a heavy price tag but it better be damn good. It wasn’t.
They have this foil in the burger box like it’s some magic application, but I think it’s hurting more than helping. Bun was all sweaty and wrinkled (and I ordered / picked the food up myself, this wasn’t sitting in Uber eats bag steaming away).
Burger is pretty good but it’s not anything special. And I think you can modify the toppings but there is an extremely short list of other toppings you are able to add should you want to.
Fries are a complete joke. The whole concept is burger and fries, and if you are going to charge those prices the fries need to be on par with the burger. These were like McCain frozen fries I could make in my oven. Fresh cut the fries for that price isn’t a luxury, it’s a requirement.
Sitting waiting for my order in a plywood back booth, bolt upright. Zero comfort.
It’s not a sit down, take your order and be served restaurant, yet the machine at the cash had the ol’ leave a tip thing going on. Big fail there. Unwarranted high prices then asking for a tip??? No bueno.
They ask for my name when ordering then when my order is ready they start calling out a number. So why exactly did you ask for my name?
Verdict: One and done. I give this place 8 months before closure. And it won’t change because it’s a chain, so let’s see how my prediction holds up. It’s like 5 Guys, but falls short on the product and is actually more expensive. That’s a losing combination.
Sorry to the owners for the harsh review, and the Aussie gal that took my order that is co-owner seemed really nice… but tough love I suppose. Hopefully it will survive, work out the kinks and be a viable place to...
Read moreI’ve had Rudy at the YONGE store and wanted to try this location. It used to be a South Street Burger and I actually went here back in December…. No staff… one person…. But now it’s a Rudy burger with a full compliment of staff ! I arrived a bit early , before even open😂, and spoke with one of the young women there for some time about the other Rudy and the fast food world. She was very kind to let me babble before they had to open ! The store is clean and tidy and of course lots of parking. Literally across from Walmart and a golden arches ! I came back when they were officially open and got the Rude Dude… same as at Yonge location. It totally didn’t disappoint! I could barely contain myself to not gobble it before taking some photos. Man this was so delicious! Crispy fried edges and I got light sauce with lettuce and tomato . Of course plenty of cheese . I guess they’re purists since no other things like relish or onions or hot peppers . Bacon is $3 extra so I passed 😂… In all honesty it doesn’t need anything else. So fresh and super juicy ! I told the young cook that it’s a damn good thing this place is not close by or I’d end up here every day . I love the stuff here although never tried the fries or the chicken sandwich which does look phenomenal.,. On my list ! Great location and staff and if you like the crispy smash burger thing you’re in for a real treat! Freshly ground meat too. Highly...

The burger was the best I’ve ever had!! I got the crudy burger and added lettuce and tomatoes. The filling was spilling out of the buns!
The deep fried pickles are delicious. I was a bit hesitant before having it as I’m not the biggest fan of pickles but wow! Getting them every time I go now. The coleslaw was amazing as well. Though I do think it is missing a bit of acidity. It’s more on the sweet side with a hint of sesame oil.
The poutine has more cheese curds than fries lol! But not complaining as they use REAL cheese curds! The gravy is on the saltier side. The portion is also very generous. I ordered a large to share with my husband and there was about half of it left over.
And finally the brownie banana pudding, best way to finish off this heavy meal! It was very light and sweet with lots of banana. The chunks of brownie in it that didn’t overpower and added the perfect amount of chocolateyness to the dessert.
I had to do take out for this order and it was still amazing. I would imagine it would be even better if you eat it right...
