I tried to do this on the feedback option of your site, however it would not send. To whom it may concern, I am a loyal Beer town goer, it is constantly my pick for girls night, family night, date night, you name it! I aim to go at least once a month as up until this past Tuesday my experience has always been exceptional! Before this past Tuesday I was there Wednesday May 14th around 5 pm with a girlfriend and April 28th around 2 pm with another girlfriend, just trying to illustrate how much I’ve enjoyed going to Beer town. So let me explain how our Tuesday evening went and what led to me no longer mentioning Beer town. We got there shortly after 5pm and decided to sit inside at table 33 (as the receipt states). We had this lovely waitress Alayna who was very patient with my teenage daughter and was doing a great job. I ordered my vegetarian staple, which I love every time I go, the plant-based Caeser Salad with the tofu added. However, this time when it came, right away I noticed it was not what I ordered. I originally tried to eat it anyways (we are talking 2-3 small bites), picking out the chickpeas as I have a sensitivity to them. However, when I found a huge chunk of something very cold, that looked like my tofu, but my tofu was warm, and this had more of a chicken type texture/appearance. I had no choice but to wait for the waitress and point out the error. She stated she mistook my order as a ‘superfood’ salad and was quick to take accountability and apologize. She was very kind!! I want to stress that she made a small mistake, that anyone is possible of making and handled it amazingly. Therefore, you may be wondering where my issue is. She brought her manager over (unfortunately I do forget his name) but have noticed him multiple times, so I suspect he is a regular manager there. He came over and gave a clearly insincere apology, offered to replace my meal (at this point my daughter and husband were about to be done eating), and just kept repeating that this error meal would be removed from the bill. It was obvious he didn’t really care about our customer experience, so we just tipped the waitress, paid our bill and left. But this experience was so disappointing that it lingered, so I started discussing it with my friends and coworkers (as generally we all love and frequently visit) but the clear lack of customer service was the reoccurring opinion. How easily he could have given 5% off the rest of the bill? Or maybe my margarita also been waived? Just the smallest customer service notion would have turned such a negative experience to a more positive one. But instead, his mannerisms and attitude acted like he was doing me some big favour, when; 1) was not the meal I asked for 2) was not a meal that was eaten 3) was not even the correct meal, as the superfood salad should not have had a piece of cold chicken in it (which the waitress also believed it was chicken) 4) was a vegetarian’s meal that was served with a piece of meat in it. Hopefully you can understand how discouraging the treatment we received from the manager was, for a rather layered on mistake that we were completely understanding of until the manager treated us as if we bothered him. Even though, we never asked for a manager, and I assume brining him to our table after a mistake is probably protocol? I do not expect this message to go very far. However, I truly enjoyed my previous experiences at Beer town and hope this dissatisfied ex-customer can be an opportunity to fix this poor customer service in the future. All the best.

Star rating is a average between both visits. Visited twice over the last couple of weeks. First visit on July 24 (Sunday evening) was as family of 3. Fantastic experience! We could tell the restaurant was super busy from the parking lot so we called to see if they had any open tables. They confirmed they had a spot to accommodate us so we parked and headed in. We were greeted by smiling faces at the host stand who promptly whisked us over to the waiting table. We were greeted within a minute by our server who took the time to help us navigate the large beer menu. Despite a couple of our first choices not being available, she had comparable recommendations ready to go and had us started with drinks within a few minutes. Awesome beer menu! Service was fantastic throughout the entire evening. Food was amazing! Brisket Burger was a hit. Flat iron steak salad was perfectly prepared - steak was super tender. Even my 6 year old who is the pickiest of eaters is still raving about how great her fried chicken was. So much so, we had no choice but to head there again this past holiday Monday with her cousins. Monday’s visit was OK. This time we visited as a table of 7. Restaurant itself was a lot slower but so was service. It was clear our server this time around was much less seasoned and not as enthusiastic as we experienced during our first visit. We were happy the beers we had wanted to try the last time we’re now available. Unfortunately, my husband ordered the brisket platter, but server came back to let him know they were out for the rest of the evening. He and the other two adults instead ordered the steak frites, but unfortunately the server again returned with bad news - no more steak for the rest of the night. They all settled for the brisket burger. My daughter went with the kids fried chicken again. Still a hit, though the portion size was a lot less, half to be exact (1 small piece instead of the two she got the previous visit). Fish tacos were great. Despite our less amazing second visit, we will be back again! Lastly, Unfortunately we didn’t get his name, but there is a young man with super curly hair who we interacted with both times, that was great. He seemed like he may be new , perhaps training? First visit he was working the host stand, and the second time appeared to be on the expo line, assisting Some of the servers with food running , etc. He was Super friendly and extremely helpful, definitely deserving of a shout out!

Overall experience was mediocre. After hearing rave reviews, we found the pad Thai lost all its flavour on its way from Thailand to Beertown. If you enjoy bland veggie stir fry with a couple pieces of chicken, it’s all yours. This is not pad Thai. We tried the lettuce wraps, pad Thai and chicken Carolina sandwich. Loads of lettuce but barely any chicken in this DIY wrap fiasco. I wish I had grabbed a picture. Carolina chicken sandwich was ok but it arrived with a few uncooked fries, barely any spice and the Carolina mustard was absent. We shared this fish and the side plates arrived covered in a sweet liquid forcing me to go wash my hands before being able to eat. Our poor waitress seemed overwhelmed and was getting very little help from the managers walking around all the time. We had empty beer glasses on our table during our meal and it was impossible to catch anyone’s eye for a refill. The staff were moving quickly past us and the managers never looked up to scan the tables to see what was happening and instead spent loads of time standing around chatting to each other. The busboy dropped the food and ran, didn’t bother asking if we needed anything and didn’t explain what the condiments were on the food servings. We tried five times to get someone to bring us another drink during our meal. We were sitting close to the beer fridge and the kitchen. The food check on our meal came as we were having the final bites of our bland stir fry, we asked for some spice and got some sambal olek. This is also when we finally got to order another drink. We managed to get on the wait list by calling the restaurant and they sent us a text within 10 minutes asking us to arrive within 15 minutes. Hosts were very friendly. The selection of beers is quite large and the online menu is connected to Untapped beer social network which gives you more in depth reviews. You could spend hours looking through the selection. It was a very busy Friday night and always a tough night to determine the quality of a place. Might return to check it out but overall it was a disappointing experience.
